Having read a great deal of biker based erotica, I can honestly say that this first installment of the Riding Steele series packs quite the dramatic punch.
Laurie reads as the perfect damsel in distress as the unwilling captive of a sadistically dominant lover named Donovan.
This read also provides quite the twist for readers in the fact that though leading man Steele is introduced to readers in a passive role at the book's beginning; he doesn't play an active role in things until much later.
This is a very quick read, and the perfect start to a wonderfully written serial.
