Matt and Craig Pagen are making strides in life, not by leaving their Glasgow neighborhood, but by moving to a higher floor in a nearby tower block. This shift brings two major challenges: first, they need to break the news to their alcoholic father that they’re moving out; second, they need money to decorate and furnish their new place. Currently jobless, they turn to their friend Riley, a con man who involves them in his schemes including a fake car park operation and selling counterfeit goods. But things don't go as planned.
