The book is a treasure chest of photos, info, stories, and quotes by and about the greatest baseball player, Babe Ruth. Serious baseball fans will enjoy the collection tremendously. The legends associated with Ruth are explored and the book provides a pictorial timeline of his life and career. One of my college baseball coaches was Ben Chapman, a former teammate of Ruth. I heard a few stories that were not included in this book or probably any book for that matter. So, my appreciation for Babe has a more personal reason. This book is a marvelous creation and one that every baseball fan will love to possess.

Thank you to Familius Books and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was a great collection of quotes and pictures and I loved flipping through it. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a lover of The Babe and baseball! Would make a great “coffee table” book in anyone’s home. Highly recommended!

Firstly, thank you to Kelly Bennet, Stuart Dressler, and Brent Stevens, Familius, and NetGalley for the privilege of being able to take a look at Out of the Mouth of Babe. I will share my review to Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes & Noble upon release. This book is full of pictures and quotes from the Babe himself, sure to entertain and delight any Yankees fan, or really any baseball/sports history fan. You can tell the authors/curators had a great time putting this commemorative book together, and their creativity and love of Babe Ruth and baseball shines through. The authors included personal stories that demonstrate how much the sport means to them, and each little quote and picture selection reminds you as the reader. I especially liked the updated colorized photo with the Japanese American League that shows despite political turmoil in the background, the sport brought people together to enjoy the game for an afternoon. It's easy to see how much like us they are in photos like this, and makes the connection that much more meaningful. I think this book would be an amazing gift for any baseball lover or Yankees superfan, and I'd recommend it to anyone who falls into that category. Thanks again!
