This book was absolutely phenomenal. It is an emotional roller-coaster of a read. I think what makes this such an amazing book, is that the events that take place, and all the feelings and emotions that are involved are so very real, and so very relatable. I love Riley. She is such a strong character despite all the ups and downs in her life. Cole is my 2nd favorite character. He is just the sweetest, even though he really frustrated me at times. Niko is my least favorite character, but I don't hate him completely. I feel like he has his own baggage and unresolved trauma, and that he is just misunderstood. I can't wait for books 2 and 3. I highly recommend reading this book!

What a book to start off the new year. Within reading the first few paragraphs of the prologue, my heart was hurting for Riley. It's based on a true story, which I'm sure many women young and old can identify with and have experienced. I couldn't put the book down. This isn't Marian's usual style, but it is a beautifully written book and will tug at your heartstrings

We see Riley going through her school years, her love of surfing and not being controlled by boys…..until…….
Niko and Cole, a couple of years ahead of Riley, definitely like what they see……..who will prevail to win her over????
But who else is in the wind wanting her too????
Riley’s home life is not like her other friends and you will feel it in your heart's praying that she’ll find some ‘relief’
I can’t express how phenomenal this installment is and I really can’t wait for book 2!!!!
This is NOT an RH and this does NOT have any s@x scenes in it, BUT the words in this book do it justice 👌👌👌
AND, I loved the ‘author's notes’
