Thank to for an ARC of this collection. There are times when I just want quick reads that carry good, sexy, and sweet storylines. This set of stories definitely filled that order for me. Each one represented the ability for love to overcome tragedy, and help the healing process. Great reads!

ONE LAST NIGHT – Marine Lieutenant Trevor Mason is about to rejoin his unit in Afghanistan after being home on medical leave. His experience has made him want to repair his relationship with his father who was not thrilled with his choice to serve in the military rather than go into business with him. Maggie was the cute girl who waited on them at the country club but now she is all grown up and working as an intern for Trevor’s dad. Getting to his father means going through her. He has never had a more delightful mission. This story was a sweet second chance story between father and son. I was disappointed with how fast Maggie fell into the sack with Trevor but the rest of the story more than made up for it.

Book 1- I loved that it seemed that Jace and Nickie were the only ones not in the "loop" when it came to the two of them. It made for such an amazing night of sneaking around and passion. Being a military brat myself I understand the whole "not knowing" and "being scared" so this hit hard. I've watched it many times with friends and it was just so wonderful reading it play out so strongly between the sheets with these two. Great writing and fun characters, can't wait to see what's next.

Book 2- Is it possible I liked this one more than the first....DUH!!!!
"Doc" has to be one of my favorites. I love a strong woman character. She does top the list.She stepped out of the battle scared and harden, but her men meant the world to her. That said so much about her I almost wanted to cry!!!!!
I was beyond happy that this book took place no other than 'Jace' and 'Nickie's Wedding!!! Heck Yeah!!!! Go Book 1!!!!!
Of course since Tommy is Jace's best friend he's gonna be best man and where do woman fine "HOT" men....at weddings!!!!

Well "Doc" and Tommy share a common thread they're both broken...just in a different way. Together, they fix a little something *cough...cough* and find that they work well together....

Sooooo Love this one....I'm not saying anymore...READ IT!!!!

Book 3- Never in my life did I want to hit a man more than I did while reading this!!!!!

Maggie was totally the most caring character I've read in a long time. It was pretty sweet how they got to spend that one night before Trevor left together...Then how Maggie handed Mr. Mason his balls the next morning...Yep LOVED IT!!! The rest was just icing on my cupcake...Well done!!!

A good set of stories. The romance was hot. I liked them all.

3 great stories of turning one night together into a lifetime. All are military related as they are friends in a navy unit, all are recovering from an attack on a hospital setting in Afghanistan during the war. 1st story is of Jason & Nickie long time family best friends. Jason has just graduated from the Naval Academy & will be shipping out shortly, but her family is having a graduation party for at her beach front home & she has one last chance to let him know how she feels about him. Jason has loved Nickie for as long as he can remember & with the urging from her brother & his best friend he decides to go big or go home in showing Nickie that he loves her. 2nd story is of Tommy(Nickie's brother) & Jasmine a Navy Corpsman injured while trying to help the injured in an attack on the Naval hospital she is helping protect. Her injuries make her feel unlovable & ugly but one look from Tommy at Nickie & Jason's wedding changes everything. Both struck by the rightness of their meeting they turn their one night together at the wedding into a relationship that can withstand her final months of shore duty before leaving the service. 3rd story & my favourite is of Maggie & Trevor, Maggie works for Trevor's unresponsive father & has liked him since she first met him waiting on him at his country club. Trevor on his last day of his medical leave goes to see his father before he has to go back to active duty trying to make peace with him. What happens when Maggie shows up with apologies for his father not meeting him is the stuff of fairy tales. They have one night together that starts a bond that they both want to see grow. This bond also allows her the strength to confront Trevor's father on his stupidity of ignoring his only child. With the bravery of Maggie's attempt his father finally makes the decision that it's time to make peace with the past. The reasons behind the strife between father & son was shocking & not what I thought it would be. This book as a whole was steamy & hot & very enjoyable. I will definitely be looking for more by Caridad Pineiro in the future.

All three of these novellas were low-angst, super steamy and romantic. I really enjoyed this set and would recommend it to anyone looking for a steamy romance. Looking forward to reading more by this author!

This contains the 3 books in the Take A Chance series and follows a group of soldiers and their romantic encounters. Steamy and page-turning reads. Totally worth the price.

One hot night (that seems to be the theme here) and they are seriously involved. Am not a fan of insta-lust/insta-love but this one doesn't bother me...HOT! ONE LAST NIGHT – Trevor (another marine in Jase's group) is about to rejoin his unit in Afghanistan but wanting one last chance to repair his relationship with his wary father. father cancels, secretary Maggie (who's had a crush on Trevor in forever) gives the bad news in person along with some really steamy consoling. Cute and definitely hot. Again not a fan of insta-lust/insta-love but this one also doesn't bother me. A story of second chances...

Awesome collection of short stories. Like that each couple had their own book but the other characters showed up in them.

This is an extremely strong set of Romantic and Erotic novellas. They are connected and characters cross over, however each is complete in it's own right. Caridad Pineiro manages to keep it fresh and interesting with her talent for balancing heat and romance in this very difficult format. As contemporary writing goes, hers is top notch and I will look for more.
