Description

Introducing Nora Wexler, the FBI’s newest agent and the one best suited to track down a high-tech serial killer.

Spurred by the incessant threats of violence against women happening online, Nora Wexler joins the FBI on a mission to put them to an end, but she quickly discovers that being an agent comes with challenges that don’t always fit into her plan. An attractive Iraq War vet and fellow agent named Travis Greer helps show her the ropes until he leaves for vacation, which happens to give him a front-row seat to the schemes of a twisted serial killer using anonymous Internet accounts to play smoke and mirrors with his victims.

Suddenly Nora is whisked to Seattle to join Greer and face off against a mysterious nemesis terrorizing a group of female business owners. It’s sink or swim for Nora, whose reputation within the FBI will be on the line as she strains her faculties to save them.

Advance Praise

Deadly Accounts has a detailed and exciting plot—events escalated and kept me reading to the end. The restrained and professional demeanor between Nora and Travis hid an underlying attraction that also kept me hooked to see how they sorted it out. C. R. Wiley did a great job juggling the story’s many strands and tied up the murder investigation in a satisfactory way. Travis’s family and the other law enforcement officers had distinct voices and stirred in plenty of complications.

For lovers of the mystery, thriller and suspense genre, this book has it all. As well as being a gripping yarn, its themes are high concept: a determined female sleuth, a not unattractive war vet and a particularly nasty serial killer targeting women... Such high concept that this reader had to complete the book in one sitting!

I really liked this book, mysteries are my favorite genre of book and for a first C.R. really did a good job. Nora is a tech savvy rookie FBI who is kind of partnered with veteran FBI agent Travis who is a great agent but knows zip about technology. The mystery is page turner with a twist.
