Description
Designing and running a unique and successful family oriented South Carolina resort has been Alexandra Haughton’s passion. She’s not about to allow her crown jewel to be bought and revamped by a huge conglomerate even if CEO, Sterling Powell, personally arrives, champagne and contract in hand to try to persuade her to change her mind. He’s handsome, smart and wields a devilish smile that promises serious bedroom skills. Alexandra’s interest is caught, but not for making a sale. Her body may be on offer but not her hotel so Sterling needs to up his game.
RESIST ME…
Sterling Powell is determined to add Alexandra Haughton’s celebrated resort to his balance sheet, and the minute he sees her sexy lips mouth ‘no,’ the red flag of challenge has been waved. He’s never backed down from a challenge, and it’s clear that his persuasive skills need to extend outside the boardroom. Alexandra Haughton requires some serious exploration of reintroducing to life’s most delicious pleasures---moonlit beach walks, candle-lit dinners and skin scorching kisses. No one said he had to play fair, and he doesn’t intend to. Only when sizzling sex isn’t enough and Sterling wants a more permanent merger, does he realize this is one challenge he can’t afford to lose.

I loved this book!! Alexandra struggles to move on after the loss of her husband at such a young age, She has created a safe haven for herself that doesn't allow for love. Will she take a chance on love again when Sterling comes to town to buy the hotel she manages and risk being hurt again or Will she keep shutting herself off? It is well written. I could not put the book down.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. Seduce Me Tonight by: Katherine Garbera is a hot, sexy read with heart. Each main character is written with emotional depth. The heroine has closed herself off emotionally due to a personal loss. The hero is lonely and searching for something more from life. Katherine manages to draw you into the story by allowing you to feel the emotions along with the characters. Lovely story.
A very good read! Widowed at a very young age, Alexandra Haughton protects her heart at all costs. Although it's been 10 years she's afraid to love again. Sterling Powell is determined to strip down all her defenses and help her see all life has to offer. Well written and thoroughly enjoyable. I recommend this one.
This book is steamy hot, but also has some heart break in it. Over all the storyline was well written and make you want to keep reading. You could really feel the chemistry between Sterling and Alexandra coming off the page. The main story of the book was about Sterling trying to win Alexandra’s heart. However the was a side story the wove right in to the story of Dan and Jessica, I really loved there story was very sweet. I felt like Jessica could easily be Alexandra’s sister. They both seem to really struggle with self worth but they both seem to be there for each other at the end of the day. The book does fit its title there is some very steamy parts in the book but its not the whole book. This is a short read but over all a pretty good read.
Alexandra Haugton and Sterling Powell are two peas in a pod. Both are very successful, both are driven and both are lonely while they hide behind their jobs, pretending that their lives are full.
So, the first time they both, they were actually very surprised that there was a mutual attraction between them. And they started a courtship that was part seduction and part business negotiation. They only have one rule – honesty!
In a romance novel, it is the norm for the hero and heroine to hide their feelings. In “Seduce Me”, author Katherine Garbera crafted the story to be about being honest to one’s self and to each other. Sometimes the truth it a bitter pill to swallow. Surprisingly, the story was made sweeter by it!
Seduce Me is Rated YA for Young Adult for some mild sexual content.
A steamy book. Girl meets boy. Boy seduces girl. What more do we need ?
Alexandra Haughton was tragically widowed ten years ago and has made her life revolve around running the family owned holiday resort in South Carolina. Her husband’s family own the resort and she’s been a blinkered workaholic, successfully running it, introducing innovations and making it into a now sought after business.
Sterling Powell is another stubborn workaholic, the CEO of the company determined to buy the resort from the family. He turns up unexpectedly early and meets Alexander - and sparks fly! The attraction is mutual but whilst she’s determined to keep her heart out of any affair, he’s wants much more than an affair and sets out to show her just what he means. Will Sterling only be taking over the resort or will he crack through Alexandra’s barricade’s around her heart and win her love, too? There is also another romance between Alexandra’s brother in law and his girlfriend that his twin brother is trying to break up. Will he succeed or will he end up ruing his actions?
I enjoyed the story line, with great robust characters, breaking through obstacles to their goals. Their pasts have impacted on all their lives and influence their behaviour and reactions, helping the reader empathise with them. A great story but for me the details of who touches who, where, when and how in sexual relationships just aren’t necessary but I know others like to read about these, each to their own tastes! Personally I think this had a strong enough storyline not to need this but I really should have gathered it would contain significant elements of this from the title! I’ve read and enjoyed other books by this author and will still continue to look out for others by her. One of these books is reviewed on my blog - Cowboy It's Cold Outside.
Loved the story of Alexandra and Sterling, both work alcoholics in the motel business and past history of failed relationships. The chemistry between these two were sizzling off the pages. Lexi wants only hot and wild sex, but Sterling is falling more for her is a lasting relationship, can he win her over and Color My World. Lexi was afraid of love, did not want to hurt again.
This books will keep you turning the pages until the end, loved the family of Lexi. Enjoyed the secondary couple, Dan and Jessica. The romance is an added heat element in this book, I loved it.
I really enjoyed reading Alexandra and Sterling's story. Alexandra Haughton runs a successful resort that is being courted by Sterling Powell. Alexandra is a workaholic that runs to a precise schedule. Sterling wants to add Haughton House to his company's portfolio but after meeting Alexandra, he lets her know he wants her as well.
Katherine Garbera delivers a sexy and sweet romance with Seduce Me Tonight. I couldn't help but feel for Alexandra and root for her and Sterling's happy ever after. The secondary characters were wonderful...Brad, Dan and Jess.
I'm always up for a Katherine Garbera romance, bring on the next one.
I received this book as an ARC for my honest review from Net Galley. Honestly I felt this book was pretty good it hit all of my romance novels wants and needs. It was funny, sweet, and hot in the bedroom and tugged at my heart strings.
Alexandra Haughton’s received a share of her husband’s family resort after his death. When CEO, Sterling Powell comes into the picture wanting to purchase the resort she is against any ideas of sale.
Sterling is not a man who likes to play games he is very straight forward. He finds himself attracted to Alexandra; he lets her know and makes sure she sees that he has no problem separating business and pleasure!
While reading the book I had to fight with myself not to want to shake Alexandra out of the past and into the present. But eventually Sterling and I had to come to terms with exactly what Alexandra was really afraid of.
To say that I loved Sterling's character is putting it mildly I love a man that is not afraid to put his feeling out there. Sterling was great he played no games; he gave no lies, just laid himself out there for you to fall in love with.
Good job Katherine Garbera I will definitely look out for your future books.
Kate is a successful novelist in California for a conference. She is also celebrating her fortieth birthday, newly divorced and alone. David is a successful hockey player in town on a road trip. He is also a player, and his teammates have bet him he can't get the lovely, but sad, woman into bed by the end of the night. Kate surprises them both by accepting his dinner invitation, and they go on to have a wonderful evening, just being themselves and accepting the other as is. When they end up in bed, it is an experience neither can forget. David also likes Kate so much that he purposely loses the bet. Surprised that they live so close to each other, it is even more surprising that David wants to see Kate again...and then, after another wonderful date, he finds out that he is 11 years older than him with an almost college-aged daughter.
Kate expects his reaction and moves on, but David can't help thinking that she is "the one" for him, and he has an uphill battle making Kate realize he is in it for the long term.
I love Kate, fighting to rebuild her life and her self-esteem after an abusive marriage, and trying to find a relationship with her daughter, who was also brainwashed by her ex. I also love David, all though he does speak and act without thinking. I love how he admits his mistakes and works hard to make it up to Kate.
This was so much more than a romance, and I really loved the interactions and growth that all the characters have. There was so much depth to all the relationships, it was an extremely satisfying read!
