Advance Praise
“Rachel‘s book beautifully encourages me to pray; to hear, listen intently to God‘s Word, and then articulate the crux of the matters of the heart through written prayers. In a short amount of time, a few minutes, which is all we think we have, this devotional gives rich insights to ponder, to put into practice, and most importantly to PRAY!
Every time I’ve shared the stage with Rachel, her message, gentle spirit, and perfectly wonderful accent woo me to the heart of God and to long for more sweet communion with Him.
Thank you, Rachel, for the blessing of you, your gift and passion to call us all to use our most effective resource, to change the whole world: Prayer.” —Kim Bolton, Servant Heart Ministries
“Profound, real and full of Scripture pearls! It was a treat to my soul to read Pray Naturally. My Spirit was being stirred as I read, reflected, and prayed back these honest and earnest prayers.’’ —Sarah Breuel, director, Revive Europe; board of directors, Lausanne Movement
“This book clearly invites women to know God’s heart and kindness, and for them to share their hearts with Him too.” —Robyn Dykstra, speaker and author, The Widow Wore Pink
“All the way through, while reading about our Old Testament sisters, and as Rachel took the most intimate parts of their lives and made them mine, I found myself wide-eyed by the details. The insight. And then among the final pages (day 118), I read a single line that I felt she wrote just for me: ‘Let’s be women who always seek God first but use the minds God has given us to make good and wise decisions as we carry out God’s purposes.’ As a woman whom God has placed in a position of authority, I truly needed that line. There is no doubt you will find your special line(s) too.” —Eva Marie Everson, CEO, Word Weavers International, Inc.
“Rachel Britton has gifted the reader with a treasure trove of intrigue and insights into the lives of biblical women. These women will become your sisters, Rachel’s prayers will nestle in your heart, and her thoughtful questions will spur you on in your faith journey. I love this book and I know you will too.” —Rev. Dr. Cynthia Fantasia, author, In the Lingering Light

Rachel Britton skillfully brings the compelling stories of biblical women to life as she helps us to learn how to connect with our heavenly Father honestly, confidently, and personally.” —Carol Kent, founder and executive director, Speak Up Ministries; speaker and author, He Holds My Hand
“Rachel Britton has written a beautiful devotional book that will help readers find assurance in their God-given identity. Each devotion relates to one of fifteen women of the Old Testament—with sound insights from the original language, as well as contextual teachings. The prayer that follows each devotion provides blanks so the reader can add her own unique additions. I enthusiastically recommend Pray Naturally, as it will help women find that their Creator God has lovingly designed them and desires that they approach Him in prayer . . . naturally.” —Janet Holm McHenry, author, Praying Personalities and Looking Up! Finding Joy as You Read and Pray through the Bible

“This is not just another book on prayer. Rachel, as a gifted beautiful woman of God, is one that daily walks out what she has written. I heartily recommend this book. It is a real, personal walk with Father God. Every woman will experience a new daily walk—hearing God in a personal way, and knowing, above all else, that she is made in His image and is a daughter of the King.” —Sandra Snelgrove, cofounder of Priscilla and Aquila, Hong Kong
“In Praying Naturally, Rachel Britton thoughtfully explores the prayer lives of fifteen different women from Scripture to help us present our petitions to God in ways uniquely suited to our personalities. If you are looking for a simple devotional guide that also pushes you to think deeply, then Pray Naturally is the book for you. These 120 days cover fourteen women from the Bible including Eve, Hagar, and Esther. Each woman starts with some background information and each day ends with two or three questions. Verses are quoted throughout and additional readings are suggested. This would not be a good fit for a Bible Study but would be great for a small group of women or a solo study.

This is a devotional and prayer book for women inspired by the women of the Bible and how women of today can learn and grow in their faith from these inspirational women if the Bible, including Eve.
This would be excellent for a women's group to get together and share their thoughts and do some inspired journaling. Also wonderful for your own quiet time.

This book is just what my heart was looking for. I always struggle to find the right words for a "proper" prayer. I love this book so much, I am ordering it for myself and a friend to keep close at hand. Thank you for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my opinion.

I’m a big fan of devotionals published by Our Daily Bread and Pray Naturally: Finding Your Spiritual Confidence as a Woman Loved by God by Rachel Britton is awesome! In 120 devotion entries, Pray Naturally explores women from the Old Testament of the Bible, diving deep into their stories and pointing us to truths that can be applied to our lives today. Exploring the lives of such women as Sarah, Hagar, and Queen Esther, to name a few, the Reader learns the cultural significance of the Woman’s story, and how talking to God impacted and changed them. Each devotion entry includes questions to answer/writing prompts to help to reflect on what was just read.
I really loved Pray Naturally: Finding Your Spiritual Confidence as a Woman Loved by God by Rachel Britton and gleaned much from the book. I used Pray Naturally as part of my personal Devotion Time and it really Ministered to me, highlighting and making notes along the way. I love the nuggets of Wisdom that Ms. Britton brought out in the book. The nuggets of Godly Wisdom that Ms. Britton brought out on Prayer were full of common sense. At the same time, for some of the Women, some of the nuggets allowed me to see the Women in a new way and learn something new. (Like with Hagar, Abigail, and Queen Esther.) The theme of Prayer was constant through out the book and the impact of our conversations with God were woven through out. I found the questions at the end of each devotion entry beneficial, making the reader to think about what they had just read and about their heart’s motives regarding what they had just read. I love the Bible verses that complimented each devotion entry and I found them encouraging. I also love that some of the devotion entries gave you a (type of) list of Bible verses to correspond with certain topics/subjects. If you are looking for a devotional that is encouraging and geared towards women, then I highly recommend Pray Naturally: Finding Your Spiritual Confidence as a Woman Loved by God by Rachel Britton!

Pray Naturally - Finding Your Spiritual Confidence as a Woman Loved by God written by Rachel Britton is an excellent devotional for women. This book looks closely at women in the Old Testament. Surely, they must have lacked confidence at times focusing on their failures instead of God’s provision but learning to overcome their short comings to stand strong and true. If they could then we can too. The women chosen for this devotional are well known in Christian study, yet the perspective is refreshing and original.
Each day is long enough to say what is needed to be focused on in our thoughts but not so long that it couldn’t be done before the start of a day. Then you could think on it, pray on it, and even share with someone as the day progresses. Bible verses were given, more listed for the reader to read on their own, and a devotional passage before the suggest prayer start. All of this works well together. I especially liked the response area with one course of action, praise, or worship to be done. This part gave a focus suggestion but left it open-ended for the reader to complete. Well-done from beginning to end with 120 daily devotionals in all.

I appreciated the careful research and use of Scripture in this book. The lessons learned from women in the Bible was an interesting approach to talk about prayer. It was easy to read, but not fluffy. It made me think.
