Description

Are second chances possible with the one that got away?

Millie Rose lives her life by the tasks on her to-do list. Between owning the town’s flower shop and coordinating events, it’s just enough to drown out the reality of being alone—and leave her on the edge of burn out. When her one weakness—her brother’s sexy, tattooed, glasses wearing best-friend—comes back to town, she’s reminded of their long, intimate history.

Will Carter walks back into Willow Pines with one goal: make sure his grandpa is doing all right. But once surrounded by his past, he can’t help but wonder what his future holds, especially when he kisses Millie for the first time in three years.

Being forced into partnering to plan the spring festival might just be the catalyst the pair needs to realize that forever, together, is possible. That is, if Millie is able to trust that this time Will means to stay for good.

From the first page, I knew Millie and I were going to get along. She’s the kind of heroine who trips over her own sass but still lands on her feet—and yet she’s hilarious and heartwarming. On top of it all, I’m an absolute sucker for a brother’s best friend romance.

Corlew writes with the kind of charm that sneaks up on you—one minute you’re giggling at a perfectly timed one-liner, the next your heart’s doing that fluttery thing it does when characters start catching feelings. The banter is sharp, the chemistry sizzles, and the emotional beats land right where they should.

If you’re into smart rom-coms with lovable chaos, earnest feelings, and a FMC who will steal your heart while wearing mismatched socks, Millie Be Mine is absolutely your next read.

Oh my god! Absolutely devoured this book in one sitting. Currently in bed at 4am unable to sleep because of how good this book was!!

I’m so incredibly grateful to have read this. The love story was beautiful and the sub plots were amazing. You know the writing is perfect when you care about the side characters and I’m sat here hoping and praying that we get books of them all.

Quite possibly one of my favourite romance books in a very long time with two of my all time favourite tropes - second chance and childhood friends to lovers - as well as other tropes such as brothers best friend and fake dating!! Sounds like a lot of tropes but it was done in such a perfect way and blended together so well.

The chemistry between Will and Millie was so amazingly written; I could feel it from the first chapter. Never in my life did I think I’d be in love with a man called William but William Blake Carter the man that you are. I loved how much they grew as individuals but also together as a couple and how much that Will wanted to prove that things were different this time.

I also loved the business aspect of this book, which I don’t tend to really focus on. I loved how Millie grew as a person and as a business owner. I also loved the fact that Will and Millie had to work together and how they made that dynamic work at first.

There were two other plots that I absolutely adored but won’t mention for spoiler purposes.

Not only did I love the main characters but I also loved the side characters with the small town behaviours. I’m so beyond excited for the rest of the books in this series.

6 stars if I could!!

Welcome to Willow Pines, Tennessee, where the community is close and supportive. Here you can find Millie at her shop and when Will rolls into town he’s no stranger. This is his home as well, even though he doesn’t live here anymore. These two have known each other for ages but have been more like ships passing in the night instead of getting their act together. Can they make it this time or will the weight of the world on their shoulders tear them apart?

Millie, Be Mine is one of the sweetest romances I’ve read in a while. It’s full of second chance hopes and fears, family concerns, found family unconditional love, and best of all fake dating. It had me laughing so hard one minute and crying the next. I love both of their strong family units as well as friends groups that are there for them at the drop of a hat. Millie’s to-do lists are the best and really must keep that girl sane!

Corley handles this romance with a touch that I don’t see all that often anymore as she dances around difficult subject matters that many in the world face today.

I received an ARC of #milliebemine from #netgalley in exchange for my review of the book.
