Description
Why do we lose our ability to feel great? And what is 'feeling great' anyway? Is it really possible to feel great in today's world where every day there is some new crisis or disorder? Some new upheaval or unexpected negativity? Where violence is rife? Is feeling great out of place or insensitive to the reality of many people's lives?
This treasure of a book calls on decades of spiritual study and practical experience to answer these and other essential questions. You will learn what it really means to 'feel great' – and it might not be what you expect.
You will discover that feeling great is not about having a good time for a few hours, or having money to spend. It's about putting your life in order and remembering who you really are. It's about practicing the four keys revealed in this book—enthusiasm, optimism, contentment, and respect—then learning how to start acquiring and applying them. The authors' rich descriptions of the sticking points we encounter on our journey through life demonstrate how we can recover our ability to truly feel great – not as a temporary indulgence, but as a lasting state of being.
Now is the time to start feeling great, and this uplifting book shows you how easy it can be.

A lovely book, full of wisdom and insights.

Experience inner and outer transformation with Feeling Great by Peter Vegso, Dadi Janki and Kelly Johnson. In this book you will find the keys to feeling great and finding true contentment in life. The authors identify the reasons we stop feeling great, and then go on to show us the antidotes, the ways to start feeling great. The authors stress the importance of taking short meditation or brief pause (stopping what we are doing for a moment) several times throughout the day, to relax and shift our consciousness. Throughout the book, we are reminded the importance of being spiritual and soul-centered, and to nurture our divine intellect which is the foundation for feeling great. In spiritual gardening, the authors explain how we can change our behavior by changing the thinking that causes it, that out thoughts are like seeds, from which grow our attitudes and, in turn, our actions.
I must admit I'm always skeptical of self help books. Many are preachy, or ramble on without really offering any concrete advice, preferring to stumble around in vague references to ethereal beings and ideas. This book is not only easy to read, bu t insightful and informative. It feels like the author is speaking to the reader as friend, not lecturing the reader like a parent would a recalcitrant child.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This book was worth reading if you are struggling with depression. There were many good affirmations and constructive suggestions to change your negative thought patterns.
I gave it four stars because I did not enjoy the examples and parables. I found them hard to relate to and not very insightful.
Much of the information we already know. However, when you are feeling blue it helps to hear it again and reflect on the information. It reminds you that everyone goes through periods where they feel depressed or feel they have lost their purpose. But you do not need to let that feeling last forever. You can take control of your thoughts and feelings and begin to enjoy life again.

I enjoyed reading it....
This was a great book, made me realize a lot of stuff. It made me self aware. In today's world no one talks about spiritual being like it is a taboo or something, but this book has helped me open my eyes. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this wonderful book.
Feeling Great is an enjoyable, easy-to-read, yet spiritual book. What I took from the book is how to create a balance in my life and control what thoughts I want to spend time with. There is so much negativity around us everywhere, it’s not always easy to “feel great” and sometimes it takes a bit of extra effort and mindfulness. This book provides great tips to help you achieve that I definitely recommend it!
Thank you to HCI and NetGalley for this inspiring e-book in exchange for my honest review, my opinions are my own.
Thank you HCI Books and Netgalley for this ARC.
This is a nice book to pick up and read here and there if you don’t feel like reading it in a short space of time. It gives good tips on creating space and awareness in life and most importantly reminds us that everything comes and goes, including the tough parts.
