Joe Bonsall is a great storyteller, and in On the Road with The Oak Ridge Boys he relates story after story, recounting ORB history in a way that is both entertaining and enlightening, like only Joe can do. If you’ve read his writings before, you know that he will have you laughing one minute and crying the next. But he always has you thinking. And he leaves you inspired.

I’ve worked with Joe and the group for many years, but he included stories in this book I’d never heard. He lets the reader see some of what makes “the Boys” tick, what has kept them singing together for 40 years, their energy and their passionate work ethic, their deep love for America and their fans, and their faith in God. Of course, he also shares some of the humor that has kept the four of them entertained on their tour bus for years.

The working title for this book was ‘The Wit & Wisdom of The Oak Ridge Boys,’ and it describes it to a “t.” I think you’ll enjoy it. I did!
