I just baked the cranberry orange cupcakes and they are delicious!!! Thank you, I can't wait to try some of the other ones too.
There is great combination of flavor in these recipes, and some will require advanced planning. Not your typical cupcake cookbook, this one is special. With more sophisticated recipes, these are gourmet cupcakes at their finest! I found this book refreshing, and delightful. Some ingredients will need a little more shopping than other cupcake books and recipes, but I think the effort will have a great reward at the end. Dare to Bake! has something for everyone!
I want to make the Banana Chocolate cupcakes right now after reading this book! There are so many different combinations that I wouldn't have thought would be used when making cupcakes but they all look and sound like they taste amazing. The pomegranate and ginger and cranberry orange also sound amazing and can't wait to try them. I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I really liked this book. It's probably not really a good choice for my library, but I'm putting it on my to-buy list anyway. It has lots of pictures, the recipes don't seem too difficult and the ingredients don't look too hard to track down. The problem is that the cupcakes are probably not going to appeal to kids. I think it won't hurt for them to be introduced to more exotic foods and cupcakes will interest them more that a lot of other things.
It would be a fun book for a public library, or a great gift for someone who likes to cook.
