She is a former high school and Division 1 student-athlete, coach and administrator with nearly 30 years of experience in academics and athletics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Boston College, a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education from Trenton State College (renamed The College of New Jersey), and a Master of Science in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
