Margaret Hillert and illustrator David Schimmell have teamed up again to create more Dear Dragon books. These Beginning-to-Read books capture the imaginations of beginning readers and help them on their way to independent reading.Each book in this series includes a miniature teaching guide in the back with a note to the caregiver in the front that helps the reader take as much away from the book as possible, including phonetic andvocabulary exercises. These books use text that is comprised of common, frequently used words to assist the reader with reinforcing illustrations to help he or she become an independent reader and develop comprehension. A word list and activities in the back of the book are also included.
