Description
Even though we know it will happen, no one wants to talk about what really goes on when a parent is dying. Do you know how to live in the face of death? Do you know where to draw strength during times of powerlessness? Do you know how to emotionally support your loved one without imposing your own agenda? Do you know how to create closeness that will sustain you forever?
Written in touching diary format, Our Final Melody brings to life the art of navigating a parent’s dying process with dignity and integrity.

I have always wondered what it would be like to be a “fly on the wall” and witness a
sacred moment first-hand. This book did that for me. I was immediately drawn into
the story, the family’s triumphs and struggles so aptly described that I was easily
transported to that place and time. I could not put the book down. I will cherish and hold the sacredness of their journey in my soul.
—Dianne M. Smith-O’Connor, LCSW
This book helps me better understand the dying process—and what is possible. It
rekindles faith that change happens at any age. -- Anonymous
All that cancer going on and yet her father’s spirit was getting healthier and healthier…

If only I had of read this book before I made the long journey from Australia to Europe to take my family back to visit my dying father. So many bitter recriminations and hurtful words could have been avoided. It literally take a lifetime to figure out how to live and in the end it can all happen so quickly. This book is a must read for anyone having to deal with a dying parent.
