Description
Tessa McCaide has had it up to here with supernaturals.
Luciana may have failed to steal Tessa’s magic, but she’s just getting started on her crusade for magical domination. If her demonic summoning isn’t stopped, it could mean the end of everything.
Tessa’s pack, including her mate Dastien, are ready to fight, but the ragtag group of shifters and witches are no match for Luciana’s power. A little help (and ancient Inca mojo) from Tessa’s bruja cousin, Claudia, may give the side of good a chance if she can make it home in time, but stopping the war is no longer an option.
When witches and werewolves fight, no one wins. Only time will tell who will still be standing after the last spell is cast.

Oh, I just love this series. Tessa and Dastien are so perfect for each other.
As the final installment of the Alpha Girl series, I wondered how it would end. Perfectly is all I can say. Tessa and Dastien worked hard to save the world and find their happy ending.
After spending so much time with Claudia in Bruja, I missed getting her point of view, but was glad too see her and Lucas.
Alpha Unleashed is book five and the stunning finale in the Alpha Girl series by Aileen Erin. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley, Ink Monster, LLC, and by Aileen Erin.
I have been on board with this series from book one, page one. I have watched as Tessa McCaide received the bite that forever changed her life from her soon to be mate, Dastien, struggled to accept who she now was, and to grow and become the woman and alpha mate to Dastien that she is now. Tessa continued to surprise me throughout this series and in this book, she pretty much blew me away.
This book starts out sort of running along the same time line as the previous book, Bruja, while Claudia is traveling in Peru to find what she needs to save her twin brother. Tessa, Dastien and the others are floundering to try to come up with a way to take out Luciana. But before they could come up with a good plan, Luciana made the first shocking move, a move that would change everything.
In their attempts to cover their tracks, the existence of supernaturals are outed to the world. Tessa is chosen as a spokesperson and she desperately tries to convince the human public that they mean no harm to anyone, that they are there to protect them. But again Luciana intervenes and makes it look like they are attacking people.
Tessa spends every waking moment studying books of magic to try to find a way to fight Luciana’s dark magic and the demons she wants to bring forth. She is exhausted and is also fighting with her own visions, trying to control them and use them to help them. Through all of this, the love between she and Dastien grows stronger. I think this is what takes this story from good to great. Dastien is so in love with Tessa and is her strength through everything. And when he speaks French to her, well, I can’t help but to swoon.
“His kisses were addictive. They drowned out all the bad. All the scary. And I had a lot of that going on in my head. But one touch, and I was gone.”
This final book is a crazy ride from the beginning to the end as the Weres, Witches and Fey are all united in their fight against evil. Tessa’s life has been in constant upheaval since she first became part of the supernatural world. Will she and Dastien finally get a chance to enjoy life as mates and live a peaceful existence?
If you haven’t started this series yet, start at the beginning. The books definitely need to be read in order. This is a perfect book and series for young adult supernatural romance lovers. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
This is the first time I read this author and I really enjoyed this story.:)If you like shapeshifters read this book!
Alpha Unleashed (Alpha Girl #5) by Aileen Erin
Alpha Unleashed takes place after Alpha Divided (book #3) and in conjunction with Bruja (Book 4). Tessa McCaide and friends prepare for a fight against Luciana’s evil daemonic summoning.
Aileen Erin continues to deliver another phenomenal adventure in the Alpha Girl series. Alpha Unleashed is full of nonstop mystery and excitement.
Poor Tessa has undergone so much in a short amount of time. Her character has shown tremendous growth and courage. She is a noteworthy heroine whom I adore.
I love Dastien. He is a wonderful mate. He is powerful and supportive. The two make a cute couple. Okay maybe cute is not the right word because they are both such alphas, but they are still young, and I am much older than them, so cute it is.
I love all the support characters. Each one is so different, yet relevant.
Aileen Erin did a fabulous job with the plot. There are so many exciting things that happen prior to resolving the conflict. She does a great job of including events from prior books, while keeping the story fresh.
I was glad that Aileen Erin left a note to the readers at the end of the story, letting us know this is the end for Tessa, Dastien, and friends. I definitely want to hear more stories about them. I love the Alpha Girl Series!

I received an copy of Alpha Unleashed in exchanged for an honest review and what a fantastic end to an amazing series! The Alpha Girl series has absolutely everything you could want in a book. There is action, romance, magic and an entire army of amazing characters. The journey Tessa and Dastien have been on is truly astonishing as they have been a completely solid couple despite the trials they have faced. This final book in the current story arc is just full of excitement and had me glued to my Kindle until the early hours of the morning.
Tessa is such a fantastic, strong heroine who displays so much bravery and loyalty its a complete pleasure to read. Aileen Erin is a wonderful author who has managed to capture every characters idiosyncrasies with ease with not a single boring moment in the series.
I have loved these books since Becoming Alpha the first in the series. If you haven't read the previous books I sincerely hope you do so now, and if you have then you must purchase Alpha Unleashed:

As always I love the books in this series! Great story, great pace, great everything :) I hope you don't take too long of a break before the next one comes out!
I was so excited to get to ask some interesting questions of the author but not nearly as exciting to read this book so I was stoked when my I got my ARC a couple weeks ago, even though my pre-order downloaded yesterday. Now I get to share my thoughts with you. Now as she mentioned this is a wrap of to the current open story arc. While the door isn’t shut on all the characters in the future this is a sort of end. My previous reviews: Becoming Alpha, Avoiding Alpha, AlphaDivided, and Bruja.
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was amazing! I have loved this series since the first book and each book in the series as I got to know the characters a little more in each story just made me love them more. There is so much happening and wrapping up. We have the epic battle with Luciana and her demon mojo and everything happening with the wolves, witches, fae, and humans. There are a lot of moving parts and constantly something happening.
As much as I loved Bruja and seeing from Claudia’s POV I am happy to be back with Tessa for this final battle as it started with her. She is so over the whole fighting mess, she wants it over with and just to live her life with her true mate, Daestien. They have faced obstacle after obstacle and are ready for some peace. I just love how they interact and how they can help each other through their different internal struggles simply by being there for one another. Tessa is doubting herself after losing her powers however temporarily and feeling she will make the wrong move and be the cause for people she cares for dying. That’s a lot on anyone’s shoulders. Plus being concerned about your pack turmoil, the witches, and the humans and you’re lucky to be functioning.
I was super stoked to see Claudia and Lucas interact with the gang. I didn’t get my talk I was hoping for…yet but there was still some good stuff and seeing Lucas around the gang was awesome! Choosing sides and getting your people as ready as possible for what’s coming is the name of the game. I really liked adding in the human perspective as well, it was a long time coming in my opinion. No way would it have been under wraps much longer and seeing out supernaturals deal with that was humorous at times.
Again without giving much away, I was worried for all my characters life and limb throughout most of the book because there is no shortage of death in a war this large. Still as this arc came to an end I feel that the main points have been wrapped up nicely. It was very satisfying ending even as my heart raced through it all. I highly suggest marathoning all five of these amazing books, they are superfast reads that you want to read in one sitting.

Until next time…
First off thanks to Aileen Erin and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of Alpha Unleashed to read in exchange for an honest review.
Secondly... Holy Hell Fires, Batman! Talk about a super intense book. There were a few moments during the story where I seriously felt sick to my stomach. The characters, the story, it all melds into this awesomeness that Aileen presets in this last installment of The Alpha Girl Series. The struggles, the temptations, the 'what do we do now' it was a constant struggle to stay on top of everything. The witches, wolves and fea have to work their way through the craziness before them.
Here we go…
Luciana has struck again. This time she has truly lost it. She has killed the witches in her coven. Draining all of their power and life force. This meant the ones that were on the school's property as well. Anyone tied to Luciana through her blood oath, was gone. Now the race is on to get to the compound and see what all she has done. What they find is gruesome. More death, more destruction and now... the secrets out. Thanks to Luciana. But things don’t stop there.. no that would be too easy. As they try to sort out how to handle the situation the cops show up. Why, you ask. Because the few witches that had been in town when everything went bad keeled over, drained as the others. So a trail of bodies brought the cops right to them. That’s when the real fun began. (inter sarcasm)
Then… it all went up in smoke. So now we have Tessa, Dastian, Claudia, her new mate, Lucas, Raphael, Donovan, Meredith and the rest of the gang trying to sort out just what Luciana is doing. And where she'll do it. It's going to be a long hard battle that, for the most part everyone is prepared and ready for. But when Tessa finally lets go and lets her mind relax she has a vision. One that makes the road ahead scary as all get out. People will die, demons will be on the loose and Luciana is behind it all. But that is not acceptable. It can't come true.
As the group sets out to head off Luciana and the fun begins. Seems Luciana is a lot smarter than they give her credit for. On the run, hiding, Luciana gets back into the black arts. As it is the humans are becoming more and more on edge. The more Luciana sets the wolves up the more bad happens. Their not only fighting a supernatural war but now they are fighting the image that the humans have for them. It's time to chase her down and put an end to this once and for all... but the question is.. can what's been seen be unseen. Can the future change if you know what's coming? Or is it a design in fate? We will have to wait and see... it's up to these kids to save the world from an unseen predator.
This is the last book for the Alpha Girl Series (cries) but a note from Aileen says these characters that we love so much will be back. I will patiently, not so patiently wait for that day. I would like to see what other trouble these guys and dolls can get into.
I really do love this series. Tessa and Dastien are trying to figure out what Luciana's end game is. Since her powers were messed with, Tessa hasn't had the visions that she is used to. Now, night terrors, yes she's had those, but she cannot remember them. Tessa's cousin Claudia is trying to free her coven members at the beginning and as it evolves, Tessa realizes she may need more help from her cousin than she realized. Problems come from near and far and it seems that she may have to become the face of the pack.
I love Tessa and Dastien! I was glad to see Claudia's book from Tessa's perspective and see what was going on at home while Claudia was gone. The pack dynamic always intrigues me and I love that Tessa is now surrounded by a family that takes care of her. I literally inhaled this book wanting to see how it unfolded and once the action truly started, it went fast! This whole series has entertained me and I know the author is going to write another series for a while and I cannot wait to read it!
Absolutely a 5/5. Love the series, you should start with book 1 but great series!!
Thank you to the publisher for the review copy of this book (via netgalley). I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.
Tessa is still reeling from the events of book 3, where she had her powers stripped and their enemy brought back the dead to fight against the werewolves. Tessa sent her cousin Claudia to Costa Rica as a last ditch effort to find a cure for Claudia's twin brother Raphael before he is consumed by the demon possessing him. Tessa knows she only has a short period of time to get a handle on her powers before something big happens that may just be the end of all that Tessa hold dear.
I love this series, and that is a fact. I also love how the author drops the reader right into the action without recapping the story to fill in the blanks for those who just started the series. This series must be read in order, and this is book 5 so pick up books 1-4 first! I find it really interesting that this story takes place during the same time frame as book 4, which was from Claudia's point of view (FYI book 4 was my absolute favorite in the series, and that is saying a lot given my love for this world created by Aileen). Another thing I find interesting about the series is that the books take place over a few months only. It feels like I have know these characters forever right along with Tessa, but in actuality it has been a short period of time, just a very intense/dangerous set of circumstances that formed a lasting bond. And did I mention my love of books with werewolves and the mate bond? No? Well, that topic is up there with my favorite things ever and this book has plenty of it.
I enjoy Tessa's no holds bar, take no prisoners approach. When she needs to, she stands up for what she believes is right and fights those who are in theory above her in the pack or stronger. She has had so much thrown at her in such a short time yet has never backed down from a challenge. And man, does she ever have a potty mouth which entertains me each time something comes out. She and Dastien together are dreamy and I am so glad that Tessa finally stopped fighting their bond and made them partners in everything. Can I just say that I completely saw it coming when Tessa "volunteered" to give the statement? That was a needed slice of humor in the face of horror. ( I laughed at loud at her comeback about the bestiality question.) I also found her relationship with her new FBI friends to be interesting. I don't agree with Tessa that they will lose interest in her in time and find someone new, which makes me excited for the future and the direction the series could go in... But that could be wishful thinking on my part.
It may feel like I am gushing (which honestly I may be), but I enjoyed this book, this whole series, and everything has been building to this moment for what seems like forever.. My only complaint was that I wish it could be longer just so I could have had more time with the story because getting to the end was bittersweet. The book has the best ending that I could have ever hoped for, the major events that had been runnng throughout the books get wrapped up, almost feeling like this could be the end of the series.Thankfully the author states that this is not the end for these characters, that she will write more, but she is going to be working on a new project. This makes me excited that I can read something new and different by Eileen since I am a fan, but also sad because I love this group of people and couldn't ever imagine not wanting to read another book about any of these characters (especially Cossette and some more Claudia). Even if this was "the end" I would survive because I experienced such a fun, exciting, dangerous and romantic ride provided by the books.
