A fabulous second chance romance.

Eleven years ago Summer Nichols lost a bet to Tyler Warren. Her pay up was to kiss him. Summer never forgot that kiss or Tyler after he left town to join the rodeo. Summer went on to marry Ty’s best friend who eventually lost his life in a tractor accident.

Ty has returned to Marietta for the rodeo and to handle his father’s estate after his death. Summer had been a nurse when she quit her job to move in and take care of Owen, Ty’s father, after his heart attack. She remains in the house because she was given half of it in Owen’s will. The other half belongs to Ty. But Ty doesn’t plan on staying in town. He has other plans for his life.
Summer gets the surprise of her life when Ty moves in with a baby. If it is Ty’s baby, where is the mother? Summer always wanted a baby, but wasn’t able to have one. Will baby Becca be the one to reunite Summer and Ty?

I enjoyed this story a lot. I couldn’t put it down. Ty and Summer were perfect for each other.

4 - "You lost that bet, and it was my lucky day." Stars!

The Montana Born Rodeo kicks off in absolutely stellar fashion, with Claim Me, Cowboy. And if serving up a huge helping of second-chance love isn’t enough, I got to return to one of my favourite towns - Marietta, Montana.

Tyler has returned to town after an eleven year hiatus, leaving under a cloud he has only really returned to sort out his father’s estate and sell the Circle W Ranch, before making a fresh start with his baby daughter in Texas.

That is until he arrives at the house and discovers that his only love Summer Simmons has been left half the house in his father’s will, and now a widow herself after losing her husband, who also happened to be Ty’s best friend prior to his leaving is determined to return the ranch to its former glory.

”You are so bad for me.

This book was an absolute joy to read, returning to Marietta, and seeing the development of the blossoming relationship between Ty and Summer after everything that happened between them in the past, the author managed to fit an awful lot of story into this novella, and she did it really well.

The rest of the series is certainly going to be on my TBR now –

This is a delightful sweet story about a second chance romance where hidden relationships, lies and deceit tore them apart the first time because he felt he had to get out of Marietta but she didn’t know why. He left, breaking her heart, but now he’s back though only to visit . . .

When Tyler Warren returns to his childhood home he finds his first love, Summer Nichols, living there. They have both inherited half of the Circle W Ranch from his recently deceased father. When Tyler left town he wanted Summer to go with him but she chose to stay. He’s always felt Marietta folk think of him as the bad boy who’ll amount to nothing after growing up with disdain and condemnation from most of them. However, he’s never forgotten his first love, Summer and he has done well, becoming a champion in the rodeo scene and he’ll shortly be taking part in the Copper Mountain Rodeo.

Ty just wants what is his and then to get out of town again but when he meets Summer for the first time in more than a decade their attraction is still there but now there are others to be considered …. Will they get their second chance or will revelations of secrets from the past prevent them attaining their HEA again?

This is a great start to a new series with a tale of heartbreak, reunion, revelations, hot romance and angst. I definitely recommend this and look forward to reading other books in the series in the near future!

This was a very sweet book about love lost and then found between Summer and Tyler. Summer was left half a ranch by her ex boyfriend’s father and the other half was left to his son Tyler. Meeting back up they both realize that they have never stopped loving each other. Even though they still love each other they still cannot fully trust each other. Their attraction to each other happens pretty fast as they rekindle the love that was lost. I love that this is a story where it’s not too late for love. That first loves do have meaning and sometimes you can’t get over them. Second chances are possible. I loved the chemistry between Summer and Tyler. There are some steamy moments in this book.

This was a fantastic story filled with the rekindling of a first love, hope, lies, and redemption. When Tyler Warren returns to Marietta after 11 years, he never expects to attraction to the beautiful woman who had shattered his heart years ago, to still be there and as strong as it was. So much had happened since he left but one look at Summer Nichols is all it takes to confirm his belief that he needed to sell the ranch and get himself and his young daughter out of Marietta as soon as possible!
When past lies and truths come to light, leaving might be the last thing he wants to do. Could they make a life together here in Marietta??

You definitely want to grab this one and find out. I definitely recommend it!

I so loved this story of a second chance at love! Everything you want in a read! Teenage first kisses, love and heartbreak,. The good girl and the town bad boy, brought back together ten years later. Ty and Summer' will have to work through so many obstacles but most of all forgiveness. I laughed, I cried and I talked to these characters. Awesome read!

Claim Me, Cowboy is a great start to the Copper Mountain Rodeo series, and there's no better setting for a second-chance romance than Marietta, Montana.

"Marietta sort of grows on you. If you let it."

Tyler and Summer were perfect together. Their past was detailed and their present captivating; this is a couple who are still in love with one another but much has happened in the eleven years since they parted, including Summer being widowed and Tyler becoming a single dad. And as they reignite the passion between them, revelations threaten to end it before it's started.

"don't remind me how much I once loved you."

Charlene Sands has brought her reader a well-paced story combining romance with heartbreak and heat. I can't wait to see what the rest of this series holds in store.

I like stories where couples reconnect after many years. I was a little peeved that Tyler kept harping on the fact that Summer got married to someone else after Tyler left. He was the one who left her, and I am sure he was not celibate during that time. Still, I enjoyed their romance as they found their way back to each other.

I was provided with an ARC copy of Claim Me, Cowboy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Summer Simmons Nichols never forget her first kiss at the age of 16 which she lost on a bet with Tyler Warren. Both had dreams that were opposite from each other so they went their own ways and finally reconnected after Tyler's father passed away and he returns to clear up the estate. Tyler was surprised to learn he has a daughter that was left with him but nothing is going to take Becca from his life anymore. The story moves quickly and Charlene Sands will keep readers hanging on to every word, wondering what she'll create next. Sizzling sex scenes finally for Summer and Tyler. Well written with plenty of detail and it really lets you connect with the characters and love them all.

I did enjoy this book, as reunion/second chance stories are some of my favourites.

For the most part, there is a lovely, sweet connection and chemistry between Summer and Ty. I totally got why they felt as they did, and even though things moved quickly, their history made it not so instalovey.

It reads for a fair portion of the story as a sweet romance. However once the attraction between Summer and Ty is acknowledged and acted upon, I felt as if the sexy bits seemed a little out of step with the tone of the story.

Despite this, I think this was a great start to the 2015 Copper Mountain Rodeo series.

Claim Me, Cowboy by bestselling author Charlene Sands is the first story in the multi-authored 2015 Montana Born Rodeo series and is a second chance romance with ten years' worth of hurt and betrayal. This was a good start to the series and one that had a great deal of drama-filled issues that the main characters, Summer Nichols and Tyler Warren, had to contend with. For such a short read, Charlene Sands does an exceptional job providing readers with more than sufficient back stories that give us a better understanding of what caused the two to separate from both their viewpoints. It's difficult to find fault in just one person, though I couldn't help but feel Tyler's pain from Summer's marriage to his issues with his father was greater and outweighed whatever Summer felt. Claim Me, Cowboy gets four stars. ♥

Summer and Tyler were first loves, not first lovers. After high school, Tyler was ready for a new life somewhere else. When Tyler wanted to leave Marietta instead of staying on his father’s ranch he’d asked Summer to come with him. She asked him to stay. Neither could do what the other wanted. And young love died as each moved on to another life.

Today, more than a decade later, Tyler is back in Marietta. His father has passed away and left Summer and Tyler each half of the ranch that had fallen on bad times. Tyler has no intention of staying. His intention is to sell his half and move on.

But there are secrets buried here. Things that Tyler doesn’t know, secrets that may change how he sees so many things. Summer hadn’t intended to ball back in love again, if she even had ever truly fallen out of love with Tyler. But if he wouldn’t stay again – what choice did she have?

Claim Me, Cowboy takes us back to Marietta, Montana. Always a small town I’m happy to visit once again. Tyler and Summer once had a love worth fighting for. Then secrets, lies and deception forced its way into that love. When Summer couldn’t understand why Tyler had to leave, and when she refused to go with him that love shattered. Now they have a second chance, if they are willing to get beyond the past.

I enjoyed Summer and Tyler’s romance very much. That spark never died and now with an unusual situation facing them it has blossomed again. Now they just have to decide what’s more important – pride and getting their own way, or the love of a lifetime.

I would recommend Claim Me, Cowboy for anyone who has followed the Marietta line of series, for readers who enjoy a down to earth, old fashioned love that lasts. and a couple you will be rooting for from the start.

3.5 First and Last Kiss Stars * * * 1/2 I swear, I think I should look into real estate in Marietta, Montana for all the books I read with this town being the central focus. When I want a little escape and engaging but not overtly angsty reads... I seem to gravitate to these books.

This is a new series based in that special town... and it is about two first love sweethearts who years ago came to an impasse... He wanted her to leave with him after high school graduation and join him on the rodeo circuit. His life in this town and on the family ranch only held painful experiences and memories...He loved his sweetheart but couldn't stay in a town where no one thought to have his back.

She was the preacher's daughter and the only time she ever strayed from the straight and narrow was when she first was alone with the "bad boy"... She had lost a bet and had to pay up with the kiss... a kiss which changed both of their lives. Both loved each other but when he wanted her to leave everything she knew... she couldn't do it. He rode away and she waited for a very long time for his return....

Time has passed and both of these two people have lived lives which has changed some things but also made clear some others...They come together again because his father who never showed this cowboy the love he deserved... did an action the son can't understand....the father willed half the ranch to the long time sweetheart and half to his son.

Now what is our rodeo rider gonna do...

This is a very quick tale of second chance love. The biggest hurdle is if the cowboy can overcome all the personal pain he feels while in Marietta. He is stuck in the past; he is still holding on to hurts from his tough father, heartbreak from his girl not choosing to follow him on the circuit and believing the town still looks down on him.

A lot was crammed into this read; there was romance, pathos and twisted plot points to expose. The foundation of it being based in Marietta but with Rodeo riders being the main draw should be interesting for future reads. There will be 3 other books to this series.

A gifted copy was provided by Tule Publishing via NetGalley for an honest review.

When Ty returns to his hometown, Marietta Montana, the last thing he expects is to find the love of living in his childhood home.
As the secrets start to reveal, and there are several of them, he is determined he was right at the age of 18, to ride away from the town, and should have never returned.
I liked Ty, he is very straight forward, he is honest, he doesn't hide his feelings, and he has a generous heart. The way he doted his daughter, took care of her, and made sure she had everything she needed, was adorable.
Summer chose her hometown against Ty in her teens. She is the good girl of the town, preacher's daughter, and couldn't, wouldn't leave Marietta, when Ty asked her to go with him. Now, years later he is back. Despite of everything that has happened in their lives since then, the feelings are still there, and burning hot. The passion and attraction between them is something they can't ignore, and are not willing to.
Ty and Summer obviously belong together, but are the secrets going to be too much, is there too much hurt and pain in their history, that they can build a lasting relationship?
Forgiveness is needed, understanding and maturing, so the past can be left behind, and focus on the possibilities in the future.
The story flows freely from the pages, and was a delight to read. It is a novella length, so a quick read, but the story is satisfying, it made me smile and at times wonder about life. Ty had a lot he needed to process, past events and hurt to absolve, to be able to go on. The growth and the process of that is shown clearly, as well as the characteristics of the fine man he has grown up to be.
Looking forward to the rest of this new series, it seems to be full of enjoyable characters, a sweet romance, and passion that can change their lives.

Summer just dealt with loosing someone really close to her when her ex boyfriend the love her life comes crashing in on her and her world is turned upside down. She has it set to keep a promise of keeping her half of the ranch, and she has some secrets she will forever keep close to her so she doesn't hurt anyone she loves. Tyler is back and he has a women in his life and he is all to happy to show her off to Summer the one girl who got away and who has forever had his heart. He has a week to get everything with the ranch settled and convince Summer she needs to sell her half and get the heck out of dodge he just never expected to have to save the one person he has always hated next to his father of course. I love visiting Marietta its that small town America that make you enjoy the stop why you loose yourself in the book. This story has some ups and downs with the characters emotions so you find yourself laughing and enjoying and then your heart breaking for them. When the chemistry is there it is hot and jumping off the pages. Over all its a really fun and sweet love story in good ol town America.

I started to fall in love with this book in the prologue when Charlene Sands demonstrated her writing skills to perfection as she described sixteen year old Summer's first kiss. "The kiss was beautiful, like a brook overflowing, making everything it touched grow lush and full and green." With that description I warmed to both Summer and Ty, her because I immediately sensed her innocence, a touch of naivety and a sensitive nature while Ty appealed for his ability to deliver such perfection in a simple kiss. Ty tells Summer that he will be the first and the last man to kiss her and immediately I was hooked.
Fast forward a decade and we see a bitter Ty returning to Marietta to claim his half of his father's ranch. Things went wrong for Summer and Ty when they were still teenagers and he's not sure he can forgive her. Add to that his negativity towards the town of Marietta in general and we're left wondering how on earth things will be made right between these two.
It goes without saying that Ty is an outstanding rodeo rider, but he's also got himself nicely set up financially and knows his way around a cattle ranch. Add to that a toned to die for body and looks to match and you'll see why he has no trouble attracting female attention.
Summer hasn't had things easy while Ty has been away. She's widowed and has had two failed pregnancies as well. Trained as a nurse, she's cared for Ty's father in his dying year, becoming a friend to him and promising to bring the ranch back into shape after his death. She's none too pleased when she discovers he's planning to stay at his father's ranch while he's in town for the rodeo and even less pressed that he didn't bother to return and visit his father before e died. Trouble is that old attraction is still simmering away there under all the indignation.
This book was such a joy to read! I zipped through it in no time at all and if you like small town romances, flawed characters that manage to heal themselves, and books that deliver a sense of community as well as the passion that comes with true love then you'll love this book too.

Claim Me, Cowboy (2015 Copper Mountain Rodeo, Book 1) is the start of year 3 for the series. It starts out with a wonderful prologue and then switches to 11 years later. I wanted to know what had happened to cause the obvious division. Charlene Sands really holed me in. Much of the unanswered is not revealed until an impromptu visit near the end of the book. I thought it was fitting to hear that person’s side of the story, neatly tying up the past.

I like Summer and could see her dilemma in trying to do what is right. I also appreciated that her spiritual family was not portrayed as being rigid and stern, which is so often the case. Tyler took a little longer for me to love. However, like Summer seeing him with his very young daughter did it for me. He is not a man who will follow in his father’s footsteps. Yeah!!

This is a wonderful started to the 2015 series. We don’t know who won the rodeo. It is strongly implied that it was Jeff. I hope this younger champion gets his own story sometime.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Tule Publishing for an honest review. "Claim Me, Cowboy" by Charlene Sands is book one of the "2015 Cooper Mountain Rodeo". This is Ty and Summer's story. They were each other's first love but things happened and they went their separate ways. Ty and Summer meet up again after eleven years. You think you know where the author is going with the story but there are surprises that I wasn't expecting. I don't want to say too much because the surprises really add to the story. Ty and Summer still have feelings for each other. There have been so much hurt and misunderstandings that may prevent them from the love they could have together. The reader can feel the hurt, love, and sexual attraction between Ty and Summer. This is a sweet and steamy romance. Charlene Sands packs so much into this quick read that you don't miss a thing. I look forward to reading other books by Charlene Sands. FYI, contains mature content.

First off...I LOVE this cover!!! We all know I’m a sucker for any kind of rodeo cowboy and to throw in a second-chance romance into the mix, well let’s just say that I thought this book was going to be a slam dunk for me. While I liked the characters and how everything seemed to play out just like a Lifetime movie, I’m at a loss as to figure out what it was about this story that just didn’t sit right with me. The only thing I can come up with is that overall the story seemed to be kind of clichéd and predictable. Some aspects we get tied up with a nice little bow, but then others weren’t resolved nearly enough to my liking. There was also something about the emotional connection between Tyler and Summer that just seemed off to me. Summer had absolutely no right to feel abandoned by Ty when she knew he always wanted to go, and it was her that proved she didn’t love him enough to support his decision. I don't blame Tyler at all for how he felt, and he was totally justified in his anger.

Anyhoo…it’s not that I disliked this book, because in all honesty I did find it enjoyable. There were just a few things that didn’t sit right with me is all. I loved how those around the town supported Ty, and Ty himself was a great character. His relationship with his daughter was adorable, and I liked how he had a softer side when it came to the women in his life. I wanted to like Summer more than I did, but I think the fact that she was unfair to Tyler most of the time gave me a sour taste for her. The only way she redeemed herself with me was how she was with Becca. Her losses with Lee made me feel for her and they could have made her bitter, but I respected that she accepted Becca in the way she did.

Claim Me, Cowboy was a sweet and endearing read overall, and it was definitely fun to read. I'd like to see where Jeff goes with the rodeo, and I would definitely enjoy a trip back to Marietta, Montana in the future for sure.

I was so excited to see the rodeo return to Marietta, Montana. Lots of sexy cowboys! Ty has returned home after eleven years to settle his father's estate, only to find out his first love, Summer owns half of his father's ranch. Ty is now a daddy to a sweet little girl, Becca. I fell in love with this little girl. plus Ty is such a sweet daddy!

This is a story of second love and forgiveness. A fast paced story, that you will not want to put down. Well written characters. I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

"I love you, Summer... I've fought it. God knows how badly I fought my feelings for you." - Tyler Warren

Second chances in first time love are not really my forte in reading, and I guess that's why I held back on this one's rating. That and the male lead.

Tyler Warren and Summer Nichols have each inherited half of a ranch that belonged to Tyler's dead father. Now, they have to stay together for a time, and convince the other to surrender their own different plans for the place. Summer wants to make it thrive again as she promised the old man. Tyler wants to sell it and cut all ties with his hometown. But the town's once strangest couple was not meant to break apart. Time for Bad Boy Ty and the Pastor's daughter to find again what once made them so perfect for each other - or is it too late?

Like I said, I'm not a big fan of second chances in first loves. I have this theory that if something has broken apart, it shouldn't be mended back because you never know how things might turn out (well, not always, but still...). And in this case, I was right about most of it, seeing Ty and Summer trying to get back together but at the same time fighting it. There was too much between those two to just let go, after all.

But it worked out fine in the end. Even if I wanted to throttle Ty at times. Seriously, dude, open up your eyes and stop being such a DB! Half of the book was spent on Ty insisting everyone in Marietta hated his guts and thought him bad news, and the other half on Summer trying to prove him wrong. I mean, really, it was so obvious everyone worshipped him, what was he? Blind?!

And don't get me started on how obsessed he was with the fact she moved on after he had left, and all the stuff about his father. We get it, pal, life wasn't fair to you, and yeah, you have every right to be bitter. But at least stick to it and stop sending the poor girl mixed signals!

What saved the book? I'd say Summer. She was kind and ready to sacrifice every bit of her being for anyone, without any reason whatsoever. Altruism at its finest! That and the sexual tension, because, BOY DID IT MELT ME WHEN THEY FINALLY GOT IT ON! I was practically chewing my nails till it happened!

As a starter for a series, I dare say it's passable. Hope it gets even better with the rest of the books. Marietta sounds too nice a place and with lots of stories to tell, after all, it would be a shame if it didn't live up to my expectations...

First series of Copper Mountain Rodeo. I guess this series are about second chance at love. this story is about Summer and Tyler. Summer lost a bet to Tyler and she had to kiss him. It was her first kiss and he promised it will be her "First and last!". Summer inherited half of Circle W Ranch from Ty's father and she was living in the house when Ty came back to the ranch to claim his half. He was planning to fix up the ranch and sell it. He despised all the memories of this ranch especially his father. He wanted nothing more than to sell the ranch and move to Texas. However that wasn't going to be easy for Ty. Summer had the half of the ranch and she wasn't selling. She rather buy him off. She made a promise to Ty's father to take care of the Ranch and bring it back to its glory days. Ty really loved Summer but he wanted her to move away from Montana with him but she wouldn't. Ty saw his father kissing his best friend's mom in the barn and his mother moved out. He blamed his father for his family breaking apart. His father never showed any affection toward him and he thought he wasn't good enough. So he left her and started his career as rodeo rider. She stayed back and married his best friend Lee.. Unfortunately, Lee past away an year before. Ty brings his daughter Becca. Summer really wanted to have children but she couldn't. here's Ty's daughter she can dote on She is taking care of his daughter like her own and they were being civil to each other. But so many dark secrets are revealed by his father's letter and it is tearing them apart again. there were lots of twist and turns. Story between Lee and Ty's relationship and Summer is in the middle of both of them, the story was more like soap, Nevertheless, It kept me interested until the end.
