Review will be posted jan 22 Science Stunts is a fun look at science for kids. It includes a bit of background on some great scientists and is packed full with all sorts of different activities and experiments you can do to help learn more about Physics. Physics was one of my worst subjects, I wish that I had a book like this to help me along because I am much more of a hands on learner than just reading about it in books and I'd have loved to try all of these experiments out in class! (Or at home!) There is a note that you do need an adult sidekick for some of the experiments and to be careful with some of them as well. Do keep that in mind if you give this book to a curious child and make sure they understand that!
I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review. I was not otherwise compensated.
About the Book
I like how the book explains the science lesson, provides an experiment for hands-on learning, and then explains how the experiment relates to the lesson it started with. It’s great for STEM.
This is a great collection of cool science tricks. If you've spent much time looking at books of science tricks (or on Pinterest) many of these tricks will be familiar. Clear step-by-step instructions and excellent illustrations keep the experiments from seeming stale. From an educational standpoint, each experiment has an easily understood explanation of the science that makes it work. It's a great choice for individuals and libraries.
This book was absolutely brilliant - when I was at school I was a massive science geek and I loved the experiments. This book makes the experiments fun for kids to try at home (with adult supervision where indicated). Loved it. Very highly recommended- thoroughly enjoyable for all ages.
