Beautiful photographs of people, animals and plants along with clear, engaging text show why clean air is important and what we can do to keep our air clean. Additional back matter provides answers to related questions about clean air. This book presents information in a way that shows the importance of clean air, but is not frightening. A fine book for sharing, discussing, and stimulating action.
The pictures we re beautiful and the text was informative without being boring. This would be a wonderful addition to any elementary school library as well as the juvenile section of a public library.
This book is full of beautiful colored photos of the world. It teaches children about the air and how it is necessary for all life. It talks about air getting dirty which then causes the world to become sick. It also touches on how to help keep the air clean such as walking places, turning off lights, using wind powered energy. It is a subtle message but it is clear and is a nice way to present it without hitting anyone over the head with it. The back of the book has other information for adults, not geared to children. I only wish the book talked a little more about the issues at the back during the main part of the book such as Green House Effect.
I would recommend this book to be in primary classrooms and school libraries.
