Description
Fearing she had lost her mind, Chastity soon discovers the shocking truth of her heritage- she is a Dream Caster. Chastity was never supposed to be raised on the Domain, or what humans call Earth and she is forced to return to her true birth place, Revera – the world of Dreams.
However, in Revera there is no balance between good, the Light Casters, and darkness, the Shadow Casters, and Chastity is caught square in the middle. She soon learns that there is no place for anyone containing both the light and the darkness within them, and the shocking truth that if anyone in Revera ever discovered her shadow self, Chastity would be thrown into the Oblivion – the world of Nightmares.
Dreams are always more than they seem, and this time Chastity is going to discover just how different they can be.

Well first off I would like to point out that this book cover is completely gorgeous and immediately caught my attention. I'm glad I got picked to review this book because I read it all in one sitting and excited for this next book to come out. Chastity really showed inner strength and the willingness to continue to fight even though at times she felt like quitting was better than having to battle her emotions and the situations she was forced into. I like the idea behind it and I think that this book really teaches the importance of facing your fears and never giving up for something you believe in. The characters you encounter in this book have a variety of different personalities that ring true to a real life situation which makes that book even more captivating. The setting draws you in and find yourself learning this world right along with the protagonist. The vivid details make you wonder and keep you wanting to know more with every new discovery. This was truly a wonderful read and I expect even better in the next one.
This novel was a little hard to get into, but was very interesting. I did feel like it had too many "doors", but it worked. I liked Chas's attitude and her outside of the box thinking. The thing with Leigh was weird, but …. The book was face paced. Created a world completely its own and did a wonderful job of guiding you into it through Chastity.
I received a free copy of this novel from NetGalley for an honest review.
The book is amazing.I loved reading it.The characters are fantastic. The story is interesting and different.I look forward to reading what happens next.
Adrienne Woods has put together an incredible new world in Dreamcasters: Light. The Land of Revera is where the Light Casters live. These are the beings that control all of the good and the light in your dreams. Oblivion was created when a Light Caster was expelled for going bad. This world is dark and full of nightmares. Of course there are good and evil forces that give you your dreams. Didn’t you know??? And what can possibly go wrong when 2 star-crossed lovers from opposite teams come together? All kidding aside, this was a fantastic read and I am so happy that there are more in this series. The second one is now on order.
Chastity Blake is having a tough time right now. Her best friend is being absolutely heinous to her because she believed her jerk of a boyfriend when he said Chastity hit on him. All of her friends have now gone against her. Her mom is just a fluffy, artsy soul who is always asking about her dreams. Her Stepdad is a military man who runs his household as such. Chastity’s world turns upside down when she is being attacked by her former friends and her hands start forming this sand.
What she finds out shortly after, is her mom is a kick-butt warrior from the dark side and her father was a warrior for the good side. Thus begins the internal struggle. Is she good? Is she evil? If/When she makes it to Revera, will they discover her pedigree and throw her out?
I highly recommend this book. It was a really easy read. The world-building was great. It was complex enough to let you envision the world without being bogged down by unneeded details. I gave this one a 4 out of 5 stars.
