This is, in my opinion, the best Patrik Hedstrom in the series so far. Camilla Lackberg just keeps getting better and better. Patrick returns to work after being in the hospital and suffering devastating family tragedies. The murder of Fjallbacka's financial director, Mats Sverin, serves as a welcome diversion from his personal pain. Sverin was a well-liked but enigmatic man, a bit of a mystery. His childhood sweetheart Nathalie has returned with her young son to the little lighthouse island known locally as Ghost Island. She too has her secrets, keeping them are a must, or she will lose her son. She takes comfort in the ghosts; apparently whoever died on the island never left, and the reader will get to know them in flashblacks. This book is a terrific read - more please! Thank you Netgalley, Pegasus books and Camilla Lackberg for giving me the opportunity to preview this book.
