Caillou is a little boy that wishes he were bigger. Every morning Caillou watches Sarah go to school and wishes he could go with her. When Sarah’s school has a little sister or brother day, Sarah invites Caillou to spend the time with her class. Caillou notices that there are a lot of bells at school. He also realizes that you can not do whatever you want, there are rules but they get to do fun stuff. He loves recess but it is too short. He is disappointed that he does not learn to read that day, but his mom tells him he will when he goes every day. Caillou has a fun day, but it makes him very tired when it is done.
This would be a great story to read to children when they are ready to start going to school to help relieve stress.
This was such an interesting book with a wonderful concept. I thought it was unique. To see Caillou experiencing school before his official transition to grade school was a brilliant idea. Early exposure can certainly help to calm fears and make future transitions easier. This book would be a great preparatory resource for littles.

great book for kids!! Love the pictures and bright colors.
Little Calliou is back with an adorable story that would be perfect to prepare little ones for school. It would be perfect to explain to your preschooler about what a school day looks like. I will highly recommend it to my friends with little ones, and my preschooler patient's parents.
