I love Joyce's devotional books and my husband and I read them daily. I have more than a few! This one is neat in that it carries a word and the definition of that word and is designed to read first thing to start your day and carry that thought with you! Love it.

This is encouraging and befitting for Christians, especially new Christians, to get them on a steady diet of devotions. Joyce has such insight to the Scriptures it is wonderful. She knows how to tell you how the LORD touches the Soul with the HOLY SPIRIT, and she reminds you daily who is in charge of this world and the other. You look forward to the next day - the only thing that I miss is that they are short but like I said - it is the best for new Christians or those who are in a rush in the morning and they want to do a Bible Study before work or have to get off somewhere and do a hard Bible Study later.

“Words are powerful. With one word, God can change our lives and we can help change the course of someone’s day. Within one word, we can find encouragement and hope.”

Joyce Meyer, one of my favorites, one of the world's leading practical Bible teachers. A New York Times bestselling author, Joyce’s books have helped millions of people find hope and restoration through Jesus Christ. Each and everyone has a powerful and positive message.

WAKE UP TO THE WORD 365 Devotions to Inspire You Each Day is a beautiful inspiring book to empower you! A book to treasure and a great addition to any library devotional collection.

A small book with a big message. A perfect size with a positive message to start each day. For those with busy lifestyles, starting from Jan 1-Dec 31, each day features a scripture, one word, and a message. At the end of each passage is a summary or affirmation with a positive thought-provoking takeaway.

An ideal gift for the upcoming holiday season. What better way to begin the new year or your spiritual journey. No matter who or where you are in your faith or journey, or your personal relationship with God.

From sins, mistakes, failures, or your path in life; you can discover a way of living, that will truly satisfy your soul. God has a plan for each of us. Whether you need a fresh start, or a renewed relationship. Each of us could use a positive word to help us navigate the negatives throughout the day.

Each word is powerful and I love waking up with a fresh new message each day. Whether you prefer your devotional time in the mornings or the evenings, each message will renew your spirit. One word for each day of the year, a definition of that word, a Bible verse and a Bible-based encouragement.

If you are looking for a quick word of encouragement, thought for the day, or something to think about, focus, or meditate during the day, it will assure a blessing.

A small, yet powerful book. The beautiful cover will draw you in and the soothing words will capture your heart. Share it with others! You will look forward to rising each morning, with a new special message awaiting you every morning. Like a special Christmas gift, all year long.

The daily devotional includes:
Powerful words to focus on each day
Scriptures and practical advice from Joyce for each word
Encouragement to read and pray every day

My favorite: July 14 "Risk":

"It has been decided by us . . . to select men and send them to you with out beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Act 15:25-26

"I believe we should live our lives with an enormous spirit of adventure and risk. We only get one trip through life, and I don't want to be old and have nothing but regrets., We face the struggle between faith and fear. Don't give int to fear of the unknown or of being adventurous-move past it and follow what God places on your heart to do. There will always be critics who tell us our faith is too risky but don't let them cause you to live a small, boring life. you can fully live today by not giving in to fear or by worrying about tomorrow.

If you step up to the plate, you might strike out, but if you don't try, you will never know the joy of hitting a home run!" Risk: To venture: to dare to undertake.

What a wonderful way to start each day! Joyce Meyers has created a daily devotional for every day of the year, each begins with a specific word for the day such as "mind" followed by a Bible verse that uses the word. She then enhances the word as to it's meaning in scripture. In this passage she likens the work "mind" to the mind of Christ and how that manifests in our lives..She ends with a definition of the word. Short , sweet and to the point, this is a delightful daily devotion. Each day can be read in a few minutes but has a profound message for your day. I thoroughly enjoyed reading these.

Nearly everyone in the Christian community is familiar with Joyce Meyer and her down-to-earth, practical, humorous teaching style. Wake Up to the Word offers a concentrated teaching for each day of the year. Each individual devotional includes the Bible verse, her teaching, and associated definitions. Though these can be read in just a moment or two, the teaching can be meditated on all day. I am not a frequent fan of devotionals, since I tend to spend my time just reading and studying the Word. But this one is rich, encouraging, and informative, rather than a feel-good story and sweet thought as some are. This is a great way to introduce daily time in the Word for a beginner, or a great supplement to the study plan you already follow.

In typical Joyce Meyer fashion this devotional is both inspirational and thoughtful. Reading it will most definitely be part of my daily routine for 2017.

I really love the idea that Joyce has chosen one word for each day of the year. It is so easy for me to get caught up in day-to-day activities that I forget about what I have read that morning. With one easy to remember word, it will be a lot easier. I can also jot this down and carry it with me.

For 2017, I'm combining this with a five-year diary, so I can use Joyce's word for the day as a starting point for a sentence or two. I bought the diary last year, and didn't have anything to add every day, so it got pushed to the side. With all the inspirational words from Joyce, I am looking forward to using this book with it.

.Thank you Joyce. I am excited about this!

Inspirational Bible teacher Joyce Meyer who has written over 100 books which have been translated into 100 languages and whose words reach an audience of ??? through radio, television, and conferences has published a new daily devotional book. A powerful word is focused upon each day of the year with an entry that features a Bible scripture, a devotional from Joyce, and a definition of the word to ponder. The entry can be read in less than 5 minutes, but can be meditated and prayed on throughout the day. This book fills a niche for those looking for a succinct devotional to begin a busy day. This will not be the only devotional I read this year each day--I will pair it with a couple of others one of which is a much deeper read--but I know it will provide thought and inspiration and welcome its presence in my daily reading. This January 23 entry from Joyce Meyer's new 2016 devotional Wake Up To the Word provides an example:

"Dream

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. PROVERBS 13:12 (NLT)

Each of us should have a dream and go after that dream with all our hearts. Dreams are different from plans. Plans are manageable opportunities, but dreams are often too big to be managed. You plan to assemble a model airplane, but you dream to fly. Dreams always require faith because they are bigger than you or your ability to accomplish them. That is why I believe faith-filled dreams are so important. When you dream a big dream for God, you will need to become totally dependent on Him to bring it to pass. All dreamers come to the point where they stop and say, “Lord, this is the dream I believe You’ve given me, but I don’t know how to make it true. I need You to lead the way.” Trust God’s timing and diligently take each step He guides you to take. You will see your God-ordained dreams come to pass if you don’t give up.

Dream: To think; to imagine"
