Description
Everyone loves hockey superstar Pierce Miller. Everyone except Lia Bailey.
When the two are forced to teach a skating class to save the rink, Lia’s not sure she’ll survive the pressure of Nationals and Pierce’s ego. Not only can’t he remember her name, he signed her bottle of water like she was one of his groupies. Ugh.
But if there’s one thing Lia knows better than figure skating, it’s hockey. Hoping to take his ego down a notch—or seven—she logs into his team website under an anonymous name to give him pointers on his less-than-stellar playing.
Turns out, Pierce isn’t arrogant at all. And they have a lot in common. Too bad he’s falling for the anonymous girl online. No matter how much fun they’re starting to have in real life, she’s afraid he’s going to choose fake-Lia over the real one…
Disclaimer: This book contains a swoony hockey player (and his equally swoony friends!), one-too-many social media accounts, kisses that’ll melt ice, and a secret identity that might not be so secret after all…

I honestly love this story, I can't stop thinking about it.
Each aspect of the book is amazingly done, from Mrs. Fletcher's incredible style, the great characters, to plot points that are tricky to execute. Everything was on point, especially the chemistry between the main characters, their hate to love relationship.
This book is a fun read with a beautifully executed fluffy story-line, and I couldn't get enough of it. I definitely recommend this book, and I can't wait for the sequel.
All Laced Up (Breakaway #1) By Erin Fletcher
All I can say it I absolutely always love publications by Entangled Teen Crushed!!! This book was so sweet! I loved how Lia thought she could read Pierce and then turned out he wasn't how she thought!!! Such sweet first love! These books gives teenagers the idea of how love should be
Love this well written and fun YA novel. Great characters will draw readers in and have them eagerly turning pages to find out what happens next. The story gives a deeper look into the life of a hockey player trying to make it to the next level along with a figure skater trying to work past her fears and take a leap to fulfill her dreams. Very believable. Definitely recommend!
Hands Up ~ Who doesn’t love a story about a figure skater and a hockey player?
All Laced Up had all the makings for a perfect Young Adults Romance. The popular guy at school, awkward teenage girl, some serious issues and obviously romance!

Lia Bailey is an upcoming figure skater if only she let go and reach for her dreams. After the death of her father she never wanted to wear her skates again.
Pierce Miller is the next IT ice hockey player who’s going through a FUNK Ice hockey is everything to him, without it he’d be lost.
Erin Fletcher has a beautiful way of entertaining you with this adorable read! All Laced Up covers some serious issues in a realistic way. The only thing I would have liked is for the story to develop more. There was a lot going on but to be fair that’s understandable for the first book of a new series.
I can’t wait for the next installment

"toe pick!"
so when i read the synopsis for all laced up of course i flashed back to the greatest figure skating/hockey movie of all time, the cutting edge. and while the story is definitely unique, it is just as swoonworthy and romantic.
lia bailey has skating in her blood. her dad was a famous hockey player and she's been on skates since she was a toddler. but since her father died, she's lost focus on the dream of being an olympic champion. somehow not having her dad around to cheer her on made it feel wrong to be out on the ice. especially knowing that he couldn't be on the ice either. when the skating rink she'd trained at forever asks her help in teaching a workshop to young kids in order to help keep the skating rink operational she agrees without second thought.
it's when she finds out her co-teacher will be star hockey player pierce miller that she balks. pierce has been the center of attention due to his skills on the ice, and lia is determined not to feed his huge ego. or at least what she thinks is his huge ego, because the truth is there is more to pierce than what lia assumes at first glance. sure he can be arrogant, but he is amazingly talented. but he'd also a genuinely good person, who actually is way more considerate of others than lia gives him credit for.
their first workshop is a disaster, and later that evening when lia realizes that pierce had a game that was a disaster for him she can't stop herself from commenting on the video of his last shot--the one that lost the game--with some constructive criticism. what she doesn't expect is for pierce to respond, and she is especially surprised when he responds with good humor and self-deprecation and a thoughtfulness she hadn't expected. from their they start corresponding online.
and getting to know pierce online opens lia's eyes to who the real pierce might be. and as they get to know each other in person, things start to get complicated. but in the best kind of way. how is it possible to find yourself in a romantic triangle with yourself? that's something lia will have to figure out. and pierce, what he does and doesn't know, i won't spoil, except to say that when it comes time for him to put together a grand romantic gesture, it's pretty amazing. and this is a solid young adult romance.
I will admit up front I'm not usually a fan of YA romance. Maybe that is because I'm older and have a bit of trouble relating to being 18 again, but this book was really good.
Pierce is a high school hockey player, but he is headed for the NHL. When he is asked to help out the local Ice Rink by teaching a class he is more than willing. Lia is teaching the same class and is more than a little irritated that Pierce is her co-teacher. They have going to the same school for years and he doesn't even remember her name.
This is a fun story with a lot of depth. It is something I would recommend to a person of almost any age as it is what I would call clean romance. I really enjoyed it!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
What a super fun romantic read! I loved reading about Lia and Pierce, two different fans of ice sports, who are brought together to teach classes at their local rink. Piece, a hockey star is struggling for success and Lia, a figure skaters, is scared of moving forward in her career. Their lives start to intermingle and the fun is watching their interactions. This is a sweet romantic story with heart. It focuses on family and support of friends. It also touches on the idea that sometimes in life we need that extra love and support from unexpected places.
