This has to be one of the best, most original stories I have read this year. The story is about past lives and reincarnation and the effect karma has on our lives, it was a totally different concept than anything I've read before, I loved it. Bonus the romance was steamy and the sex was hot, what more could you want.

'Unlocked: Rekindled Flames by C. Chilove is the story of Alonna Carrington and Donovan Derbinay.
This book just didn't hit it for me as I would like. I didn't really feel they were connected as they should be. But I would say overall this book is good and I am glad to have read it. I just like it so much when I get sucked into the story and feel apart of the story.
Alonna had lost her fiancé about two years ago. This has put her off love and into a few quick sexual encounters. At work she has landed a meeting with Donovan Derbinay and goes to his office. Once she meets him there is a immediate connection to him. It seems Donovan is also being taken by Alonna. Alonna is not want a relationship and so she tries to not get in loved with Donovan but he isn't letting up at all. We see how their relationship starts to build slowly.
I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.

OMG - this book is freaking AMAZING! I'm so happy to have stumbled upon this little gem and I cannot believe how much I loved it!

I've been searching lately for my next perfect book, the one that makes me actually FEEL something. Something different and exciting and let me tell you, I certainly found it with this book. I got the tingles of passion, the nail biting angst, the heart pounding throw her against the wall/desk/floor :) I got it all in Unlocked!

Let me begin by saying that I adore the genre of the intense, possessive, alpha-billionaire. It's my favorite of all time. With that being said, this book took that concept and amped it up 1,000 notches with something new and fresh and incredibly intriguing.

Unlocked is the story of two people who embark on a journey full of passion, mystery, and a love that has endured beyond the measure of time. Their story is contemporary but with a twist that is very unique.

Donovan and Alonna are "Twin Flames" which is more intense than Soulmates and they have quickly become one of my favorite new couples. I don't want to spoil their story too much, so please just trust me and read this book for yourself. It's absolutely breathtaking!

The ending does leave off on a bit of a cliffhanger, it's a HFN instead of HEA, and I hope there will be another book (or books) coming in the future. Until then, I will be stalking C. Chilove's social media fervently and waiting with bated breath until the next installment :)

This book started well, the story was well paced and funny, I really enjoyed the connection between the 2 and Hazel's wedding scene.
However, for me extreme jealousy is not sexy, control issues are not sexy, having a say on clothes and friends is not sexy. If something, it is abusive and that just ruined it for me.

This book had a neat concept. Soul mates are supposed to be the ultimate bond between a couple but this author introduces something much more powerful, something called Twin Flames. I love the idea of two souls coming together life after after life. To have something that strong that even death can't take away is intriguing.

In previous lives, there love is cut very short. These two must give themselves completely to each other to not repeat the same mistakes they've made in past lives. I'm not exactly clear on what they did wrong in the past lives but it seems it always involved a jealous lover. This probably gets explained more in the next book.

In present time, they have the same interference. What bothers me about this story and makes the Twin Flame not believable to me is that there is other woman in Donovan's life. He is engaged when he meets Alonna. He breaks it off, but we still have to deal with the ex throughout the story. And the biggest thing that made the bond of a Twin Flame not believable to me, he openly flirts with one of Alonna's best friends. This may seem trivial, but if this is the ultimate bond between a couple, there shouldn't be any hint of other women/men in their lives. Even flirtation. If it wasn't for this, I would have really loved this story. I'm a huge fan of a relationship that is so strong, nothing can break it. This one just didn't seem strong.
