Barclay Publicity encourages requests from media professionals, book bloggers, booksellers, librarians and educators, but reserves the right to accept or decline requests on a case-by-case basis.
Are you getting declined when you request our titles? It could simply be because your feedback percentage is low. Booktalking is the most important criteria we look for when considering who to provide review copies to. We also have the following guidelines:
Book bloggers must provide a link to their blog/website and should be listed in their profile.
The blog should be updated regularly. Blogs that haven't been updated in more than a month will be declined.
Blog content must be relevant to the genre requested. (i.e. a blog requesting an new adult title but features paranormal content on their blog is less likely to be approved).
Requester must share their email address for follow-up purposes.
Requester should include as much statistical information as they can about their blog including:
The number of unique visitors the blog gets each month.
The number of comments the blog gets each month.
The number of Twitter & Facebook followers the blog has.
The number of reviews the blog publishes each week.
Librarians, booksellers, educators and media professionals are almost always approved as long as information about their professional position is current and their email address is provided. Position held should demonstrate a relevant connection to the subject matter of the book. Requesters who blog, tweet, or booktalk are preferred.
If your request is approved, you must send us your review within NetGalley with specific information about where the review is posted, including the date published and a link to the review.
Reach out to us within NetGalley if you need a media kit or bonus content such as book videos, photos, and more...
If you're unable to post your review please contact us and tell us why.
