An independent publisher founded in 1973, Chicago Review Press publishes titles of lasting interest and groundbreaking works that reach beyond the trends.
As part of the publishing industry, we know we play a critical role in shaping the cultural conversation and determining which stories are ultimately heard. We strive to contribute to a culture of inclusivity and representation and wholly condemn all forms of racism, prejudice, and injustice. We are committed to championing voices from underrepresented communities and working with authors and agents whose race, color, sex, national origin, age, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, military or veteran status, or disability bring diverse perspectives to our publishing program.
CRP has grown into a dynamic midsize publisher with more than 1,000 titles in print. We currently publish about 50 new titles yearly under five imprints: Chicago Review Press, Lawrence Hill Books, Amberjack Publishing, Council Oak Books, and Parenting Press.
In 2021, Chicago Review Press acquired 100 best-selling backlist titles by Fulcrum.
All Chicago Review Press titles are distributed to the book trade by Independent Publishers Group.
