Author Kait Jagger says her main goal in writing the trilogy was to create a strong, self-reliant heroine. ‘I felt like I’d read one too many romances with submissive female protagonists, empty vessels waiting for an alpha male to fill them up, figuratively and literally,’ Kait laughs. ‘My heroine Luna is more than a match for her hero, Stefan, both in and out of bed—and he’s man enough that he wouldn’t want it any other way!’ On a more serious note, Kait adds, ‘This is Luna’s story, first and foremost, and I hope other women recognise facets of themselves in her.’
