Description
For more than five years now, passionate readers have relied on our twice-a-year Buzz Books to sample and discover new books from big authors and breakout talents through exclusive and substantial pre-publication excerpts.
Now we are offering the same robust publication in easier-to-digest monthly packages. You'll find exclusive excerpts of six notable books due for publication during the month of March—but first check out our extensive preview of well over 100 new books of interest coming to market in the month ahead. At the end of most excerpts, you will find a link to the full galley on NetGalley!
Then read a haunting World War II tale by Jessica Shattuck, author of New York Times Notable Book The Hazards of Good Breeding. Also included in the sampler is romance author Kristy Cambron’s latest and a “bonus” debut thriller excerpt. Young adult fiction is represented by three debut titles from authors Kayla Cagan, Elizabeth Briggs, and Ashley Poston.
Buzz Books Monthlies are your first and best place to turn for a real insider's taste of what to read next, and what the book world will be talking about next month. We hope you enjoy the monthly Buzz Books— and keep an eye out for April Buzz Books available next month.

Extremely helpful as always! It gives good information as to the new releases and the publishing details.
Again, an interesting and very helpful list. A Simple Favor sounds really good!
Love these! A must read for a reviewer such as me. Keeping me updated"! Keep them coming!
Always so useful - great to get an extract from the Shattuck novel!
This was a fantastic little snippet to read because I found a few books that I never heard about until now and I am dying to read them.
Thank you as always for introductions to new authors, new books and new voices.
Very interesting collection of upcoming books, some of which I can't wait to read once they're out into the world. Thank you Publishers Lunch for another great collection.
The publishing calendar in the monthly Buzz Books sets them apart from the seasonal round ups - I always find a book or two (or five) that instantly get added to my TBR.
This is an integral part of my reading choices. I always find something I want to read in its pages and look forward to its publication immensely.
The monthly digest of buzz books is very helpful for focusing my review requests.
March Buzz Books Monthly
Great preview on upcoming books for March 2017. Thank you!
Lovely teaser of some exciting books to come, cannot wait! Picked a few already that I would love to read.
A great resource if you want to check what is coming out soon, and glad that the round-up section covers literary as well as commercial titles.
I love seeing what's upcoming with links to galleys. Thanks so much.
These books give me a great resource for titles that I might not have on my radar through the review guides that I use. Really enjoy them.
Naturally a smaller selection than the Spring/Summer BuzzBooks, but still includes an interesting array. Always worth checking out any BuzzBooks list to see what's upcoming!
Love the excerpts and the publishing preview. Excited for the releases of You Are Here by Jenny Lawson and Elizabeth Briggs Future Threat
This monthly publication has been my go to for the past few months to figure out what new books I have to read. (Even if many of the excepts are sometimes posted individually or in other collections on Net Galley).
I had already read the excerpt of "Piper Perish" but was charmed by the premise of "Geekerella"
This is actually fantastic. I wish I had discovered these earlier. This is not only perfect for book reviewers, but also for book lovers. It's great publicity for authors who deserve it, with perfect size excerpts, and all the information you'd ever need about the book. Absolutely brilliant. The only thing is that I wish for more books to be featured.
I write monthly previews for new releases because I can't always get my hands on certain books, so this is super helpful in cutting down my time in bookshops perusing the first few chapters of many new publications! I look forward to seeing more of these in the future!
MARCH BUZZ BOOKS MONTHLY BY PUBLISHERS LUNCH
March Buzz Books Monthly is a great resource all in one catalog. It features excerpts from several of the books being published in March. It has an Extra Attention Section, Literary Favorites And Emerging Talents, Debut Fiction, Commercial Fiction, NonFiction and a Week By Week with March 1, March 6, March 13, March 20, March 27 as the highlight day for it's publication this month.
I enjoyed having all of the book news for March in one handy booklet. The excerpts that are featured in March Book's are The Women In The Castle, by Jessica Shattuck, The Illusionist's Apprentice, by Kristy Cambron, Future Threat, by Elizabeth Briggs, Piper Perish by Kayla Cagan, Geekerella, by Ashley Poston and a bonus excerpt called A Simple Favor by Darcey Bell.
I like the condensed version of the monthly installments.
Thank you to Net Galley and Publishers Lunch for my digital copy in exchange for a fair and honest review..
I absolutely love these monthly rundowns. I love that I have release dates laid out. I enjoy the excerpts and I always find something to add to my read list.
Thank you to Netgalley and the many publishers for sending me a digital ARC of so many fantastic new books. As soon as I see there is a new buzz books out, I download it immediately. I am very excited about several books in this ARC but specifically the new book by Lisa See. I did not know she had something new coming out and it is very good indeed. I know many of the patrons at the library where I work will also be excited to read Lisa See's new book.
The Buzz Books series is a great way to learn about new releases. I was happy to see that they have added a monthly release edition, which compliments their bi-annual publication.
I always look forward to the Buzz Monthly. It helps me plan my reading list.
I am really getting addicted to the Buzz Books monthly! I think it is one of the best ways to explore new works without having to do all the leg work of finding out what is coming out and then finding sample excerpts online (if they are even available prior to release!)
March's issue contained featured excerpts of The Women In The Castle by Jessica Shattuck, The Illusionist's Apprentice by Kristy Cambron, Future Threat by Elizabeth Briggs, Piper Perish by Kayla Cagan, Geekerella by Ashley Poston and A Simple Favor by Darcy Bell. My favorites, of course, were the YA offerings of Piper Perish and Geekerella. I had previously read an excerpt of Piper Perish, but it definitely caught my attention more this time around. Geekerella is a book I have been looking forward to, so it was great to be able to get an early peek before it's release next month.
Thank you Buzz Books and NetGalley for providing a copy of this book!
It’s time for another monthly Buzz Books review. As with my February review, I’ll be looking at the excerpts themselves, rather than attempting to review the collection. I found 2 that sound awesome, 2 that are interesting but not quite me, and 2 that just don’t appeal this time around.
Can’t Wait to Read:
Piper Perish by Kayla Cagan
Geekerella by Ashley Poston
Might or Might Not Read:
Future Threat: by Elizabeth Briggs
A Simple Favor by Darcey Bell
I’ll Pass, Thanks:
The Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck
The Illusionist’s Apprentice by Kristy Cambron
