Learning is the name of the game and what a better way to do so than with pictures and your kids trying to find the items. This time it’s at school and what a fun way, they get to learn their colors, animals, shapes and much more, this book with its quirky characters and eye-popping colors is very cute.

This book is bright, colourful, fun and educational. You couldn't ask for anything more from a children's book. It makes learning fun for all and engages the child throughout. Would strongly recommend this book and will be adding it to my shopping list for the summer.

This is an illustration-centric kids book that doesn't really tell much of a story (at all), but could be great for developing your young one's observation, memory, and talking. Each double-page is a colorful school scene (playground, lunch-room, etc) with lots of different things to spot and name. The illustrations are pretty geometric, but vivid and full of animal kids at school, which is cool for young readers (my daughter loves stories with animals). Not a kids book where the sing-songy-ness of the story is what will bring you back again and again, but rather one that's interactive and your little one can have fun pointing out objects, seeing if they can find them all, and do better than last time.

I enjoyed every aspect of this book and plan on purchasing it when available. The colors are bright and vivid, and the objects to find are just the right level of difficulty for the youngest readers. There are many little ones will find quickly, but a good mix of some they will also have to look for. I especially liked the last page with the bonus challenges of finding an object that had appeared in each spread. The book shows school in a positive light with classroom, lunchroom, field trip, playground and other scenes of school life. I really enjoyed this title.

I personally love look and find books. I think they have great benefits for kids that read them. This one is absolutely adorable! I think it would be great for a child that is about to enter school to let them see what school is like. I would most definitely buy this for my own children.

This book has all the elements that makes Where’s Wally so popular, but is a little easier and suited to the preschool age group. Little Detectives at School encourages children to be detectives as they look for items that will be familiar to pre-schoolers and kindergarteners. This book is designed for the children to develop their language and observational skills, and with the bright and colourful pages this book will easily be engaging to the little reader.
Each page has a small amount of text to which relates to the page. While there is a lot happening on the page, to carefully hide the items to find, the pages don’t feel overwhelming and have just the right amount happening to make the illustrations effective.
The book gives the children a lot to talk about and discover, not only are there the hidden items but also little things like peas spilt on the floor, a teacher taking photos and butterfly’s flying above the trees. At the end of the book there is a list of other items to investigate throughout the book such as a couple of mystery items, some items to search and count, and different coloured items.
It is a lovely book that will be sure to delight the little reader with its bright, engaging pages and a lot of fun seeking and finding.

I read Little Detectives at Home with my grandson and then we read/looked at this one. He is almost 4 and it is a good book for him and I to look at together. Knowing how he reacted to the busyness of the last one, I just picked two items per page to search for. He was quite captivated with this book as he is looking forward to staring Kindergarten in September and we kept referring to the pictures as such. As I said when I reviewed the other one, you need to decide what the attention span is of the person you are using it with and spend the amount of time per page that is good for them. This is a great book to sharpen the skills of observation, conversation and vocabulary development. A great book for a kindergarten and primary classroom.

The pictures in this book are amazing. So cute. My girls (3, 5 and 8) loved it. The items were easy but challenging to find. Some were right there and other things made them really look at the pictures. Love all the color and shapes. I wouldn't purchase this book in digital form. It would be great if it was dry erase so a child could circle items!

This is a fun Look and Find book that I read with our 4 year old granddaughter. She was able to find the items and had fun following looking at the scenes. Each double page scene is a bright, busy school scene - classroom, schoolyard, cafeteria etc. There were extra questions at the back to find colors, numbers and an item in each scene. The only thing I didn't see was an answer code at the back to make sure we had found the right numbers on each quest.
The book does not tell a story but is very appropriate for learning fun.
I have always loved 'seek and find' books so I was glad to share this with our "Sweet Pea."

A cute look and find book about a year in school. Each page encourages kids to find items from various rooms, or activities at school. I think it’s also great that at the end they have things to find in every scene, or some that involve counting. The only thing I worry about is the kids falling and tripping over all the balls in every scene.

My youngest daughter was in speech therapy and this is just the type of book her therapist suggested for her. We had so much fun looking for things in the pictures. The illustrations are adorable, modern and clean. The items are a perfect mix of difficulty to find. I can see this book being a favorite with both my 5 and 3 yr olds. I certainly will be purchasing as soon as it's released!

I have always been a huge fan of finding items in pictures (starting from the "Highlights" magazine) when I was young. I am so happy that there are still books like this that I can share with my 4-year old daughter. She loved it just as much as I did!

Another great Look-and-Find book.
Having enjoyed Little Detectives at Home with my granddaughter, this will be the obvious book to move on to when she's found all the hidden items in the home. As yet she's a long way from school age so I think of this as the second book, even though they will both be released on the same day.

As before, there are six images, this time, each one illustrates a room in a school. In each of these rooms there are numerous characters and objects and the idea is to find each of eight items, illustrated and named along the bottom of the page.

We meet the same characters as in the previous book and again I found some of them a little too stylised. Particularly the "snowman'' who I assume must be a duck. Despite this small criticism, these books are a great alternative to traditional stories and I can see them being a useful distraction in waiting rooms or busy places, where children need to be kept busy.
And when we have found all the items on each of the pages there is a list of additional things we can search for at the back - telling the time on the clock that appears on every page and counting items of different colours etc.

Like they did in their previous book at home, the Little Detectives are tasked with looking for specific items from a list, this time in crowded classrooms. It’s a simple concept but a popular one, as there are plenty of similar computer-based games for the kiddies to graduate to when they’re older. For now, this should keep them occupied.

Little Detectives at School features illustrations by Sonia Baretti. As a part of the Look and Find Book series, this children's book allows interactive fun while reading.

According to the summary at the back of the book: "Have fun playing detective and spot hidden objects in the vibrant and playful scenes. Specially conceived for young ones, this book sharpens observational skills and develops vocabulary."

As an enjoyable easy-to-read picture book, it's geared toward young children, particularly ages three to eight.

These books are a great idea for seeking and finds. Instead of just the usual seek and find they have turned it into the child becoming a detective and looking for all kinds of clues.
