If you loved The Pride Series by Jill Sanders, you will fall in love with this first novel of her new series that revisits all the people you fell in love with. A Dash of Love features Todd and Meghan's middle child Sara and introduces the reader to Parker. Parker had a rough child hood and came upon Pride after setting his grandmother up in a retirement/nursing home near there. He has started a new construction company that is doing renovations on the family restaurant that Sara is a manager at. Awkward first meeting and even more surprised second meeting starts the love story that carries through the book. The mystery of who is vandalizing and scaring both Parker and Sara is the second thread that continues through the book and is one that does not take over or play second fiddle to the love story, but happens right along side. Everyone needs someone to lean on when challenges are faced head on and these two people find that with one another and it is such a beautiful story to witness. I will be rereading this story when the second one comes out and makes me want to go back a generation in this world and reread The Pride Series. This new series from Jill Sanders will be loved just as much as the predecessor although this book can be read without reading The Pride series.
Charming, sweet, nostalgic and just down right hilarious...well, the Jordan family that is!
If this is the first book in the Pride, Oregon series then sign me up for the next. I bet Matt's story would be hilarious and charming as well.
Anyway, getting this book off NetGalley was a treat! Loved the chemistry between Parker and Sara. I loved Sara's family and how they rally up around each other and in a way that did balance out Parker's past and it made their story interesting because as a reader you cannot help but ask 'will Parker ever find his home?'
A great read!
I didn't realize until I started the book that the story picks up with the second generation in Pride. It was great to catch up and see how the early couples have fared. Parker and Sara make a great couple and the Jordan family is large and supportive. My only negative comment would revolve around how Parker didn't recognize his father now that he is an adult...other than that the story was well paced and interesting. I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Once again Jill Sanders delivers a love story you can't wait to stay up all night getting lost in. Loved it.
"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."
Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!
What an awesome love story and even more awesome H and h...to have lived 5 years in an abusive home, then thrown away but be raised by such a loving grandmother just broke my heart but yet put it back together. And to go threw all of the thing this young couple went thru and still fall madly in love made my heart sing.
A DASH of LOVE by JILL SANDERS is a small town romance with a sweet ending. Sara and Parker move very quickly into a relationship. Parker's past quickly becomes an issue and interferes with his work & life. Parker also discovers a family member he knew nothing about! There's lots of action and drama in this story!
This was a well-written, entertaining contemporary romance. Sara is given the chance to run the family restaurant and prove herself. She is not expecting Parker, a gorgeous carpenter hired to remodel the restaurant. Neither of them expects to discover themselves so attracted to each other. Things get dangerous when mysterious accidents start happening at the restaurant, and they team up to figure out what is going on. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.
I received a complimentary copy of "A Dash of Love" from NetGallery and all opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thanks NetGallery!
"A Dash of Love" is a typical small town romance with suspense thrown in. I enjoyed watching Sara and Parker's relationship develop, loved the humorous aspect. Lots of twists and turns as the story unfolds. I definitely recommend it for a quick summer read.
This was actually my first book by Jill Sanders and I loved it! It was really a sweet love story about Parker who never really had a traditional family find one in Sara. You hear about the meetcute, I loved theirs. Foreheads colliding, ding dongs flying through the air, Sara responding with some attitude, Parker smiling back at her... so sweet!
There is a bit of suspense where the past comes back at them, but I'm glad it did not tear them apart.. Usually one side will try to do the "right" thing and leave to keep the other safe, but these two stuck it out and was supportive to each other.
I also love stories set in small towns, again normally I'll read how the town does not accept outsiders too quickly, but in this one the town of Pride accepted Parker as their own early on. I loved that!
And finally "To animal lovers"
I received a complimentary copy of "Dash to Love" from Netgalley, all opinions are my own. Thank you Netgalley and publisher.
So nice to be back in Pride. I love that we still get to check in with the people we fell in love with in the Pride series, but now it’s the next gen’s turns. These new characters are all wonderful and I already know I am going to be just as hooked on their stories. Just like the original series, this story has oodles of charm and romance. It’s a little bit sweet, a little bit sexy and whole lot of entertaining.
Sara is a sweetheart, I just love her. She is Todd & Megan’s daughter and is now her Uncle Iian is giving her the chance to run the Golden Oar. However it needs a lot of updating, so in walks Parker. He is sexy and charming and the carpenter her uncle hires to do the work on the building. I love their back and forth and everything in between. They have fantastic chemistry that carries them so well both in and out of the bedroom. They are fun and sexy together. I love them as a couple and I was rooting for their HEA so hard!
There is a whole lot happening during this renovation besides what is happening between Sara and Parker that makes for a pretty exciting mystery of sorts.
I really enjoyed this whole story from cover to cover!
A Dash of Love by Jill Sanders is a sweet romantic temptation. I found the main characters funny, charming, and three-dimensional. Their lives were lonely, sad, and moving slowly until they met each other. Now, their world has just gotten complicated. A young man who lost his only mother figure is now coming back to make his business thrive. Only, he didn't expect a beautiful minx to tempt him back into relationships. The young woman is working to prove herself. Working hard, determined, and not ready to settle, she soon find a hot tempting carpenter who sparks her insides.
A Dash of Love has melted my heart. The story was realistic. I can see the characters acting like this in real life. Their banters were fun to follow. I couldn't stop laughing or falling in love with them. The backstories of both Parker and Sarah made me root for them harder. Jill Sanders captured life at both it's weakest and strongest points. I loved reading, A Dash of Love. Overall, I would highly recommend it others.
Loved the story and returning to this small town of Pride and all its residents. Loved learning how some of the other characters lives had changed - and their families growing. "Pride" really resonates with the entire town and how they take persons in trouble / that really need a "home" and provide the newcomer with the family / love and understanding they need to get them over their problems. Jill really brings the small town love stories to life with their day to day problems - and how they solve them. The is always a sense of mystery about all her characters - something that happened in the past that needs to be resolved before they can accept the love that is right in front of them. There is always a death or almost death that is a key component in Jill's stories that keeps the reader's interest - they want to know how the murder / death happened.
I loved the story as we returned to Jill Sanders' Pride Realm. This is based on the next generation with Sara (Megan & Todd's daughter). It was nice to hear about some of the original people from the first generation. This story is mostly romance with a bit of suspense thrown in which I personally enjoy reading. I like Parker's character and I hope to see more about this couple in future books. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.
his may have been my first visit to Pride. Until I read other reviews I didn't realize there have been previous stories in Pride. No matter, I certainly enjoyed my visit. Family issues, both good and bad are addressed. A little mystery, a lot of love, dogs, and the beach all add to the enjoyment. I would prefer less intimate sexual details, but that is easily overlooked due to my interest in the overall story.
A sweet, sexy romance with bits of mystery, suspense, and a little action.
Parker and Sara had an instant attraction that grew into something more. I loved the way that Sara's family and the people of Pride embraced Parker. Even after the situation with his parents, everyone stood with him.
There are a couple of unexpected twists in the book that only serve to keep you in your toes, and not allow you to assume you know what is going to happen next.
If you love a small town romance full of family, friends, love, and loyalty, this is one book you will want to read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book received via NetGalley.
A Dash of Love is a well written, faced paced romance. I loved the plot and characters. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
A Dash of Love is a small-town romance with two likable characters. Jill Sanders gives us Sara and Parker who grew up in very different types of families. Sara has the large extended one where there is always someone around that you can count on, Parker only had his grandmother. Still they both have the same core values, making them a perfect couple.
The plot is smooth but does not move fast. However, the attention between Sara and Parker is instant even if Sara is quick to deny it. When the suspense starts to build the story takes off, catching my interest as to who is behind. While it wasn’t all that hard to figure out, there is a couple of twists thrown in unexpectantly.
This is the first book I have read by Jill Sanders, which stood well on its own. I certainly would read another. I will say since Sara has such a large family, who all live nearby, it was sometime difficult to keep who was married to who or who was the children of who straight. It was like attending a big family reunion, but focusing just on Sara and Parker all is clear.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Oh Jill I loved this book, but then I love all of Jill's books. If you haven't read her stories you really need to start, they are AWESOME! Thanks Jill!
Parker moved to get away from someone and take care of his grandmother, who raised him. He starts his own contracting business and starts getting jobs sound town. When he meets Sara, the niece of the man who hired him, and person in charge whole he is gone, he is instantly attracted to her. As Sara and Parker start working together and getting to know each other, they start falling for each other. Unfortunately, just when that start to see each other in a new light, bad things start happening. Will Parker be able to keep Sara safe? Who is causing all the destruction and mayhem?
A wonderful tale of love, loss, trust, pain, and respect woven together with intrigue. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
A Dash of Love is a sexy, sweet and fun romance with a touch of suspense. Sara is managing the Golden Oar while her uncle is away and the restaurant is being remodeled. Parker is hired to do the remodeling and hits it of immediately with Sara and make a great couple. Parker is finally thinking he has a home in Pride when accidents start happening. I didn't want to put this book down once I started it. I absolutely loved it.
Very cute story. It read quickly and was very enjoyable. I now have to go read Sara's parents book. Loved Parker and Toby!
His own mother did that?!
I like her competitive spirit.
Does that mean he falls in love easily? And one woman robbed him? Jeez Louise!
Now I have to go back and read Megan and Todd's book.
Well, someone never needs to spend a dime in a restaurant. Ever. Good job, Gran!
I wonder who the woman is, if not his mother.
Spooky.
Well, I guess the freezer doesn't technically have to be locked.
Duh, man.
What's your rush, Riley?
His poor high school girlfriend couldn't help being allergic.
Whoa. Surprise twist.
Holy-What the heck was that?!
At least she has good parents.
I want to hug Robert.
His grandmother waited until she knew Palmer was safe.
Small town stories always catch my attention having grown up in one, which I still visit occasionally. Living there is a whole different world from the cities where I have lived for most of my adult life. This story spoke to me because the little things were so accurate and compelling.
Parker Clark decided to start a construction business in the small town of Pride. Not an easy thing to do because no one knew him or anything about him. That could have stopped him but he knew that this is where he wanted to be so he persevered and it worked. Iian Jordan and his family had owned and run a local restaurant for decades but he wanted a change as well and hired Parker for the job. His niece Sara hoped to someday run the place so he left her in charge of the renovation while he took his wife on an extended trip.
Parker and Sara don’t stand a chance of ignoring their mutual attraction but they do try to keep it separate from working together. Multiple instances of vandalism finally lead them to realize there is someone who wants to hurt Parker. Together they figure out who and how they can have a future together.
The story keeps you wanting to read just one more chapter until your eyes cross! I'll read more from this author as I'm sure you will too!
I received an ARC from the Publisher for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation was promised or received for this review.
Sara feels she still has to prove herself to her uncle and him leaving on vacation is her perfect chance. Except, her uncle hired Parker to remodel in his absence. Parker moved to Pride for a new start in life and to get away from his past. Neither expect to fall for someone, nor so quickly. So much happens while these two attempt to get to know one another and remodel the restaurant.
I LOVED this love/mystery story by Jill Sanders! The first book in this Pride Oregon Series! The relationship between Sara and Parker, the contractor hired to repair the restaurant, is fun and well-developed!
I love Jill Sanders' writing style and love that she has returned to Pride!!!
I would love to recommend this to read, it is a great HEA Love story <3
A happy ever after story that will pull at your heart. You'll fall in love with the good people of Pride. The love of a grandmother's care raising her grandson and in turn he'll raise his brother.
Jill Sanders delivers another great small town romance. I have read several books by this author and this did not disappoint. Love the characters and their chemistry with one another. Great read!
A Dash of Love is such an easy and fun reading. It's a romantic novel, with a touch of mystery, that will keep you glued to the book.
Sara and Parker are nice, adorable people (as a couple and individually). Their love story was the cutest, and the way they look after each other is admirable.
Pride, Oregon, where the story takes place, is like the idyllic small town. It would be the perfect place to visit, or even to live, full of welcoming people.
This book is a real page-turner. If I would have had the time, I would have read it in one sitting! I'm looking forward to read more books of this series to know a little bit more about the amazing town of Pride and its lovely people.
Loved this book so much. Thank you Jill Sanders for an incredible read. Highly recommend this to any romance readers out there. Story and characters were fantasic.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I also purchased a copy.
What a sweet story. I loved the characters. Two strong independent people coming together in the best possible way. The book had my favorite dual POV. That really helps me to understand the character so much better. I loved the close knit family and community of Pride. I will have to go back and read the other stories as their characters were fantastic as well.
I loved the suspense that was in this book as well. The plot was wonderful and just perfect. It wasn't too long and drawn out nor too short so everything was tied up nicely. I highly recommend.
This is a contemporary romance with a little mystery thrown in. It is quick reading and leaves you with a good feeling. The characters are likable, even if Sara didn't like Parker to start with. Parker more than made up for it with his attraction to her. A little romance, a little mystery, family complications, a restaurant and a sexy hero. The romance was balanced with some good steamy scenes. It's a go for me!
