Description
Sometimes death is the only option…
With only 47 days left until Larry Durrant's execution, lawyer Jac McElroy is determined to save his client's life.
There are only three small problems: the evidence against Durrant is overwhelming, he's made a full confession, and he wants to die...
But Jac's hungry to make his mark and he knows something isn't right about Larry Durrant's murder conviction.
Trouble is, everyone thinks Larry's guilty, and Jac soon discovers that someone doesn't want anyone — especially a lawyer — digging around this case.
And it’s clear they'll stop at nothing to make sure Larry's execution goes ahead on schedule.
Is Jac prepared to risk his career, his reputation and his life to save a man who, by his own admission, is a murderer…?

Relatively new to criminal law, Jac was given an almost cold case. This, according to his superiors, had been tried and appealed- now, the only chance that the case could be won is a pardon from the Governor. The case is - the murder of Adelay Roche's wife. Adelay is one of the richest and most influential men in Louisiana. Lawerence Durrant, Jac's client, had been sentenced to death by lethal injection. 47 days until the execution date remained.
Larry had conflicting thoughts and dreams at the time of the murder (and even now) as to whether he killed Ms. Roche.
. . A car accident had wiped out quite a bit of Larry's ability of recall. He did not think he could kill someone - and neither did Jac, his new lawyer. Durrant was resigned to dying. A plea for clemency was prepared by Jac for Larry to sign. Yet, it seemed as if Larry had nothing he cared about, anyway. But, his Achille's Heel was his son, Josh, who had stopped sending e-mails to Larry. Jac used this knowledge (and a few other tricks up his sleeve) in order to at least give Larry the will to go for the plea for clemency.
Some not so nice adversaries got in Jac's way. Someone was there to thwart Jac's attempts to exonerate Larry. It seemed that at all turns, even with Jac's girlfriend being in the mix, someone was always there to thwart Jac ( and his friend's) best efforts.
Great! Exciting and thrilling all the way, The characters come to life and do not disappoint! And neither does the story- has you hooked until the last page! A must read!!!
