Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Psalm 139:14

It is wonderful news that God made me and you! And the best news ever is God's son Jesus. I am just throwing that in there! This is a delightful book to read to your kiddos. The book illustrates the diversity of us all and that makes each of us unique and special because we are loved. This book is all love and we need more of that starting in our families. Highly recommend.

This is the second book I've read by this duo, the first being Good News! It's Easter! While Christian books aren't really my thing, I wanted to see what this one was like (particularly because I liked the illustrations in the Easter book).

This is fine for very young children who'll accept the answer "God did it" for pretty much every question they throw at you, but I'm afraid it wouldn't really go far enough for older children (unless they've already accepted that God is the answer to everything). In this sense, it's pretty much a "preaching to the choir" book; it's not going to offer much to non-Christians, especially those past the age of 4 or 5.

The illustrations are adorable, though. They're highly appealing and show a nice amount of diversity. (I'm not sure they really have much to do with God, however. They're basically just scenes of a family doing everyday things; the text could easily be swapped out for something else and the pictures would still work.)

So this is a nice book for very young Christian children. I just have to say, though, that I really don't like the part of the synopsis that talks about being "fearfully and wonderfully made". I realize that's a Bible quote, but I don't like the idea that people are teaching children to be afraid of a God that supposedly loves them. (Talk about confusing!) Thankfully, that quote isn't actually used in the book. (The book uses the New Living Translation of Psalm 139:14, which leaves out the part about fear.)

I loved "Good News! God Made Me!" by Glenys Nellist. It is a beautifully illustrated children's book about the story of them. How God loves them and intricately wove them together in their mother's womb. It is an empowering story telling of each child's worth and unique attributes that make them who they are.

I received this as an eBook from Discovery House Publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review of the title. I did not receive any compensation from either company. The opinions expressed herein are completely my own.

A cute story to share one-on-one or in a Sunday school class or other Christian group for children. Good for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Bright and colourful story about who made us?
The illustrations are vivid and full of details that will prompt your child to have lots of discussion and pointing. From fingers and toes to eyes and nose.
It introduces the idea that God made us and watches over us. How we express ourselves with arms and hands and give hugs and blow kisses.
The pictures are of a family and their neighbours with creative activities to talk about build up the story.
This is a happy book within the Christian Faith.
It does not preach but shares the writer’s beliefs in a Creator God. It hangs the story on Psalm 139 v14 but a parent can share other parts of the bible to reinforce this teaching. The book does not provide these cross references but it serves well this basic Christian value and introduces young children to God as a caring, personal creator.

A rhyming book where these kids tell of the joy of who made them and the things that delight them so. A wonderful way of expressing the presence of God in their lives and the enjoyment they get from knowing about him. A simple cute fun educative bedtime or anytime story which your kids would enjoy.

Thank you NetGalley and Discovery House for an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!

God made me! That is definitely good news. But this book leaves out why God made me: to worship Him.

An adorable book for children. Featuring a mixed-race family, it focuses on how special children are, and how God loves them. It takes them through their fingers, toes, eyes, nose, arms, hands, legs, and mentions some of the things these body parts can do, e.g. hands wave hello, legs to climb and run.
Parents will love sharing this book with their little one, to remind them of just how much they are loved.

This is such a bright, colorful, and cheerful board book for toddlers!

With simple, poetic text, and heartwarming illustrations, this book shows a family of three generations, with children contemplating how they were made, and realizing that God made their fingers, eyes, nose, hands, arms, legs, and toes. My favorite quote from this book is “From every hair that’s on my head, right down to my big toe, the good news is that God made me—because God loves me so.”

I highly recommend this book for children ages 1-4.

Good News! God Made Me, is short rhyming children’s book that depicts God creation of us from our heads to our toes. It’s cute, beautifully written, and well illustrated. I read this story to my 4 month old and will continue to read it to her as a way to teach her to love everything about herself as it was wonderfully crafted by God! 5 stars!!!!!

First sentence: Who made my fingers wiggle so? Who gave me ten cute toes? Who gave me eyes to peek at you? Who made my button nose? It's God who made my fingers five and counted out each toe. The good news is that God made me--and watches as I grow!

This is a board book for Christian parents (and grandparents) to share with the little ones in their lives. What you see is what you get--a super adorable board book highlighting God's creation and their uniqueness.

It's a lovely little book. I'm happy I got the chance to review it.

This is such a bright, colorful, and sweet board book for toddlers. The illustrations are wonderful. They are large and colourful with various children discussing how they were made and what they can do with the adults in their lives. It is a simple story with easy to understand text for younger children. I love the diversity of the families shown in this story. Basically, the story shares the belief, "It is wonderful news that God made me and you." I read this to my three year old granddaughter and she liked it, although did not interact with the story as much as I thought she might. A cute book for a Christian family library or to read in a Sunday School classroom for toddlers.

This book has the CUTEST illustrations around! The artwork alone makes the book such a pleasure to read with kids -- but the message is good too! I love the rhyming patterns of the text. Would make a wonderful gift for your tiny family members or friends.

I read this book with my 3 year old daughter and we both loved it. The pictures are gorgeous and the writing is beautiful. Well done.

This book is perfect for any church nursery or Sunday School program. The rhyming narrative is about the young girl talking about all of her wonderful features that God made for her, all leading up to a paraphrasing of Psalm 139:14. It's a lovely message for young children being brought up in the Christian faith.

My favorite part of this book is the adorable illustrations. It is of a supremely happy multiracial family that you can tell absolutely adores each other and just has a lot of fun in their lives. You cannot help but feel happy when looking at their pictures, which just really complements this book.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Now I am not religious in any way at all so I read the book with an open mind and I have to say that I thought that this book was great, the religious aspects were a light touch and my daughter loved the story so for me that makes it a winner all around!

I thought that the images used were lovely and they added to the story, I liked the way that it was set out too and the emphasis on diversity and that we are all unique.

It is 5 stars from me for this one, I thought it was a fab little story! Very highly recommended!

This sweet picture book’s delightful rhyming message tells children how God loves them—showing everyday situations with which they’re familiar. God made them able to hop and hug and wave and enjoy life. The love that flows beneath the surface of the wonderful text and illustrations warms the heart. This book would make a great addition to every child’s library. I received a copy from Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

I loved everything about this cute little story! The artwork is colorful and bright and reflects children’s lives in a wonderful way. The diversity of three family is beautiful. The story was fun and gave all credit to God for all that we have and do and how we are created. This a great little story to talk to your kids about how God created us, our bodies and their functions.

Sweetly illustrated. Here is a rhyming picture book for toddlers to Pre-K about God's love in making us and enabling us to see and play.. "Who made my fingers wiggle so?" "Who gave me ten cute toes," and so forth. On the page that asks "Who gave me legs to stand and walk, climb trees and run around?," the illustration includes a boy in a wheelchair (among other children walking, riding bicycles, and a scooter). While this IS a beautiful book and welcome addition to any child's library, parents and friends of children with disabilities may prefer to pass on it.
