Description
Scandal, sexual intrigue and greed make for a gripping and entertaining story.
Set in a beautiful English village in the New Forest. Jane Austen lived in the area and Downton Abbey was filmed close-by.
Des, Elizabeth and their two teenage children live by the Beaulieu River in an old cottage, on her inherited land. Des’s twin brother is jealous and wants the land to build. Corruption and greed take root.
Des is torn between his wife and underhanded brother. He gives her gifts to placate her.
The brothers build a hamlet on the land and tenants move in. Elizabeth tries to help everyone get along; an impossible task. Two attractive Russian girls arrive in the nearby village.
The brothers now crave ownership of Pipers, the adjoining manor house.
The neighbourhood drama and a masked ball turn out to be more than entertainment.
A disaster exposes secrets.
The Beaulieu River tides keep turning.
