Beautiful book! I'm a huge fan of Alex Elle and have been looking forward this book for a while now. After the Rain is part-memoir / part-self help. I enjoyed reading about Elle's journey from self-discovery to self-acceptance to self-love and forgiveness. The book includes a plethora of helpful "gentle reminders" and positive affirmations that I will refer to for years to come. Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with this eARC and giving me the opportunity to review this prior to its official release. I will be purchasing this book when it comes out.

Little nuggets and reminders on all things I'm life. A book you can go back to for little truth nuggets.

It's just like the sub-title says, gentle reminders for healing, love and self-care and comes with little nuggets of the times the author caught on her 'aha' moments.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

After the Rain is described as "part-memoir, part-guide" that a reader can read to inform their own own personal development while learning more about Alexandra Elle. I discovered Alex Elle on Instagram from her beautiful collection of poems and her writing in this book reflects that background. She writes beautifully and is open and honest about her own experiences such as admitting she was typically not a great employee. This candor is refreshing and made the book an interesting read. I also enjoyed the reflection questions at the end of the chapters and her poetic quotes. Overall I find this a good read for anyone that enjoys her style of writing and wants to learn more about her background.
Thank you to Netgalley, Chronicle Books, and the author Alexandra Elle for the ARC of After the Rain in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
