EXPLORE. CREATE. INVESTIGATE.
The Environment is a simple first introduction to the environment—the air, soil, water, plants, and animals. This little chapter book teaches all about the natural world and how we make an impact, both good and bad to it. The book contains three different types of pages: Explore, Investigate, and Create. The structure of this little book allows for a very fun and hands on learning experience.
The Environment is a must have in the science classroom for the K-2 grade levels!
I recieved a digital copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This cheerfully illustrated title provides a good introduction to the environment for grade school readers. They will learn what the environment is, and then about endangered species, greenhouse gases, how to limit a carbon footprint and more. Children will also be invited to complete projects including making your own microhabitats and making a mini greenhouse. There are also some fun quizzes. This book provides a positive resource that will teach children to respect and preserve the world around them.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend this engaging and thoughtful title.

A wonderful introductory book about the environment. Concepts are introduced simply with vibrant illustrations. There are projects that introduce concepts in each chapter. focusing on a variety of topics including: different environments around the world, how animal behavior benefits their environment, pollution, and how to improve conditions. This book would be great for grades 3-6 students.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.
Looking back on my childhood, I can't believe we didn't learn more about the environment and global warming in school. I've been on the lookout for books related to these topics for my classroom library. I think it's really important to teach kids about these things so history doesn't keep repeating itself. Jonathan Litton did an amazing job writing in a straightforward way that's easy for kids to understand. Moreover, the illustrations are absolutely gorgeous; all the colors are bright and vivid. This is definitely a book I wish I could have read as a kid.
