This book has been one I have absolutely devoured. I have been completely sucked in and I definitely want more! I am a huge fan of this author and this book might possibly be my new favourite. This is a great read, filled with strong female characters. Marcus is a charming "douche bag" who appears nice at first but we soon see his true colours I absolutely couldn't predict where the author was taking this one. The cover on this one is absolutely stunning and one which not only catches your eye, but has strong women making a stand. This is definitely a five star read and one which I already cannot wait to re read. I highly recommend this book.
Gripping right to the end.
Dark in hell's underworld.

Amber and Jade along with Crystal and Yasmin work at the club and we hear their story, the sex the drugs and the punters. Girls disappear so who will be next. they are fighting for survival.
Then we have Lizzie the boss with her own past will it catch up with her?
I love this crime thriller, right from the start I was engrossed in the whole story. its a one to look out for that will give you shivers down your spine.
I have read all of Alex's books and this is the best one so far.
This follows the lives of Amber Jade and club owner Lizzy.
Marcus part owner of the club runs and owns all the girls.
Lizzy has her own secrets from when she was 19 which finally catch up with her.
Can the girls escape Marcus and work together or are they putting each other in danger?
This had me hooked from the first page, a gritty gangland thriller which is right up my street.
I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend you pick this one up.

I totally look forward to this authors book every time there is a new one out. This didnt disappoint. Was amazing. Would so recommend this author to anyone who asks about a good author to read.
So many twists and turns.
The Angels is a standalone from up and coming Scottish author, Alex Kane and in this novel she invites her readers to step into the chilling underworld of the Glasgow gangland scene.
Three women take us through a dark and gritty tale of life behind the scenes of the exclusive gentleman’s club, Angel Silk. Amber, Lizzie and Jade all find themselves caught up in the sinister goings on and under the watchful eye of Marcus. All are taken in by his charm and promises of happy ever after but you know that there is no way that is going to happen.
What follows is a chilling tale of abuse, control, drugs and trafficking all headed up by Marcus and his brother Tommy, who on the face of it seemed a bit like a modern day version of the Kray twins; charming yet chilling exteriors hide ruthless and cold blooded personalities, where women become commodities to make money.
Set in Glasgow there are plenty of familiar places for those who live in and know the area which really served to place you at the heart of the story.
As each woman tells their story, the secrets and truths begin to spill out and the three women have to dig deep to find the strength they need to escape from a life that will ultimately lead to death. The plot moves along at a swift pace, keeping the pages turning and the jaw dropping. The twists and turns just kept coming as each dark secret was uncovered. The themes of abuse, control, addiction and trafficking are hard hitting and brutal but make for a gripping read.
A taut, tense and tantalising read!
i very much enjoyed this have read all authors books this one a little different but very good . Marcus is every women s dream looks money dream apartment his own security firm with his brother and a share in a lap dancer club the women love him but at what cost you will meet Lizzy jade Amber crystal there story and there loads of twist very very much enjoyed every woman s nightmare
The Angels is a story that mainly flicks between three women, Amber, Lizzy and Jade. The world they find themselves living in is a very dark and scary one and I was in constant fear for how everything was going to end.
I like how the author doesn’t sugar coat Marcus’ character. He is one nasty piece of work who lures young women into a lifestyle that you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. A little bit of me in someways was wanting to see some sort of humanity to him but there wasn’t any forth coming. The more I read about this man the more angry I was at him.
Amber was probably my favourite character. I loved her strength although it saddened me seeing how she would use her mind to take her far away from the horrible things happening to her in the real world. Her and Jade are quite opposite in personalities and I enjoyed the bond that these two women start to form.
The Angels is a dark and sinister story that made for some uncomfortable reading. The author doesn’t go into any great detail in what these women have to endure which I was grateful for. From what we are given, it is more than enough to send your imagination into over drive. There are some shocking surprises in store as certain things come to light, of which a couple left me reeling. A powerful, hard hitting storyline that left me with goosebumps.
This was an exciting crime thriller that started of as a literal rollercoaster and never slowed down. The characters were well drawn and the storyline flowed seamlessly. Highly recommended!
Omg what can i say another brilliant book. Brilliantly written and gripping just want to keep reading to see what bappens
What a page turner this is and one of those books that you want to get to the end to find out what happens but also you never want it to end. This is the first book I have read by Alex Kane but I will definitely be adding more of her books to my TBR mountain.
This is a very strong storyline that the author has to portray but the characters do come alive from the page and the author deals with things like agrophobia and forced labour very well and blends it all into the story. The book although fictional left me with many thoughts about some of the subject matters but I will not go into them here as I do not want to spoil the story.
The cover and some parts of the story are probably aimed at more of a female audience but do not let this put you off - buy your husband/boyfriend a copy too and see what they think and I am sure it will lead to some good debate.. I do love the cover by the way but hope it does not alienate some m=customers. Pity them though as they are missing out on a book that they will not be ale to put down.
A great gritty, UK gangland thriller
