Description
What if the cure to man’s deadliest disease were discovered but then lost?
And what if finding it again could lift a species to all-new heights or threaten its ultimate extinction depending on who got to it first?
The year is 2351 A.D.
A planet in a faraway system bursting at its overpopulated seams has been forced up and into the surrounding space above.
The result: a tangle of cities and floating empires collectively known as the Conglomerate.
An incurable disease runs rampant and afflicts many, including the Princess of the most powerful Empire in the Conglomerate.
But when a young man of an unfamiliar species sets out to meet her, he puts into motion a chain of events that offers a potential cure.
He also unwittingly puts into the hands of the devious underworld the makings of a weapon capable of taking out the entire population.
Anomaly One is a look into this futuristic world—from its upper political echelon to the seedy and traitorous underbelly below—in a race to save the Princess from certain death and, in the process, maybe even the civilization from being extinguished entirely.
Advance Praise
"Rick Krusky has an admirable knack for getting at the essence of his characters and a marvelous skill for moving a story forward. I felt the characters of Anomaly One--their despair, their wickedness, their hope. And never was there a time while reading it when I thought "I know what's going to happen next." I found to be entertaining, surprising, and even somewhat enhancing to my well-being, like the best art always is." - Steve Wagner

Krushky's plot is intricate and well woven together. The book has many similarities to a covid world. My only feeling of downside was I thought it ended abruptly.
A very enjoyable book that i found hard to put down. It had me hooked from the outset and i loved every moment of it. A treat for sci-fi geeks like myself the world over.
"What if the cure to man’s deadliest disease were discovered but then lost" that was what hooked me in to read this book. It was a great scifi novel with interesting characters, I enjoyed that it was almost a space opera.
