This was an interesting book with a likeable but naive main character. She becomes obsessed with the search for information about her biological family and a serial killer connection. I liked how it really honored the victims, much more than most books or news programs. Worth the read
I am always fascinated by books that explore DNA and previously unknown family connections. This was actually my first that explored a link to a serial killer. The Family Tree by Steph Fullin and Nicole Mabry was a nail-biter for sure! I could not stop turning the pages to get to the explosive ending. Definitely a thrill ride!

"The Family Tree" is an exciting and intriguing story that sucks the reader in from the first page. One of the books that is so hard to stop reading for unimportant things like sleep or work. The protagonists are very well defined and characterized and leave the reader wanting to know more about them, a modern story that combines modern life and old lurking evil in a thrilling and captivating way. Very well thought through plot twists leave the reader hoping for a continuation of this book.
An outstanding premise to this delightfully twisted thriller. This is a well-written, suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat thriller will leave you breathless at times in anticipation of the next twist in the plot. Don’t start reading this book if you are not prepared to stay up all night.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harper 360 who provided me with a copy of this book. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
The Family Tree was so well done. I adored the characters who were sharply defined, as well as how the authors combined their writing powers to describe everything. Emotion came through well. I adored the premise most of all, something I had personally previously researched. So smart to pull that into a novel. Would recommend.
As a big fan of thrillers, this one hit the spot with its plot twists and turns. I am pretty sure almost everyone has wondered at one time or not about DNA testing for their family tree. And here is a book that reveals a side no one would think of! If you are a thriller fan, you need to read this.
Thank you #NetGalley and Harper 360 for giving me the opportunity to read this. #TheFamilyTree

Absolutely Fascinating! What DNA can tell us and the path it's outcome can set one on! A great read!
While it's not exactly a new story line, the authors have added a few twists and a couple of outside clues that added to the mystery. What would you do if you found a killer in your immediate family? I didn't pick the killer before the reveal, there's surprises in store for everyone.
Liz is given a 23andMe DNA test as a gift from her cousin Addie, and suddenly her world is turned upside down. The FBI is at her door, and they've found a familial link to the infamous Tri-State Killer, who's been abducting and murdering women for 40 years. As Liz tries to discover which of her relatives is the killer, TSK takes another pair of women. Suddenly she's in a race against the clock.
Protagonists like Liz INFURIATE me. She consistently goes against the advice of her lawyer friend, the FBI, and all her relatives, and continuously puts herself in danger for the sake of solving a mystery. In my opinion it made her one of the most unlikeable main characters I've ever encountered.
Having said that, this book was super fast-paced and very well written. While I thought it was going to be predictable, I definitely did not see the end coming. I also enjoyed the alternation between Liz's story and the previous victims of TSK.
What an incredibly interesting premise to boot. I can't imagine how freaky it would be to find out you were related to a serial killer who was still on the loose. Fans of true crime will definitely enjoy this one.
Thank you NetGalley, Harper360, Steph Mullin, and Nicole Mabry for the opportunity to review an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
