Complete with drawings, this book gives vivid descriptions of many positions of Congress, ranging from very simple to somewhat difficult. It also gives an insight into the spiritual aspects. Great for beginners, intermediates, & the curious.
A modern abbreviation of the Kama Sutra, that makes sure to be more 'woke' than most others. So while the original was strictly heterosexual, the close-ups in the illustrations are full of ethnicities, the middle-aged, those with bright blue stubble, and people whose gender is not blatant. Now I've not read a full version of the Kama Sutra, so I don't know how adapted the text is, but there seemed quite a bit of modern sensitivity in the writing too – we're told to build a landscape for all the senses en route to anything fruity happening. But if any of my partners came at me with "wild music, such as pebbles to knock together, crisp twigs for snapping, or dry leaves to rustle and crunch" I'd be expecting to see them next in a straightjacket and not something suitably skimpy.
But then there has always, I guess, been something of the mindfulness manual about the book, gearing us through the art of wooing and being in the moment together, massage, and suchlike, before getting on to the acrobatics. The famed positions are presented very well here, text and illustrations aiding each other to get the point across. It's a bit daft to introduce each position and then give a generic quote or summarise some semi-relevant advice before getting down to it – but I suppose that's only foreplay. Some people will prefer the dryness of other adaptations, with non-anatomical cartoon illustrations and what have you, but this is the modern, relatively SFW version many will have craved.

This was a very short and comprehensive modern guide to the Kama Sutra. I liked that it took quotes from the original text but used modern ideas and feminism to explain how women can also find pleasure.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC for an exchange for an honest reveiw.
Wow this was so informative. Great read.
A very informative and engaging adaptation of the Kama Sutra for Beginners. I do very much appreciate the inclusion of same-sex and nonbinary couples. Cis straight individuals are primarily focused on but that is also from the text it is adapting. I hope to see more of these breaking down how the positions can work for all kinds of couples, not just Cis and straight.
I received this book for free for an honest review from netgalley #netgalley
A very useful book. I wish it was able to connect to my Kindle though.
Good book with illustrations. Very detailed and easy to read. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the arc of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on this review.
Michelle Pauli did an excellent job writing about ABC's of lovemaking. But, the ebook is so much more than positions. She covers things like massages, stimulating the mind, foreplay, and after play. Every couple, no matter what their sexual preference, can learn how to bring joy and satisfaction into their relationship by reading this how-to-do book. The colorful drawings and explanations were right to the point. Some of these, however, you need to be a gymnast to accomplish; but then again, this is the Kama Sutra.
Thank you, Michelle Pauli and Net Galley for the opportunity to review this e-book.
Press Here! is a great beginners guide to the Kama Sutra. It's easy to digest with helpful instructions and sketches of the positions. If you're interested in the Kama Sutra but find the original work daunting this is a great modernized alternative.
This was such a fun book! Cute illustrations and something for every level and the curious. It’s a really great book'!
This was such a fun way to read about this ancient Indian-style of explaining lovemaking through illustrations!
Press Here! Kama Sutra for Beginners is a great summary introduction to the Kama Sutra. Complete with drawings, and summary text it is a great starting point. The descriptions and illustrations have been updated to take into account the variety of partnerships in todays society, and range from the simple to the more challenging. Some spiritual aspects are also discussed and considered. An interesting read for the curious.
This book is PERFECT for beginners. I love that the beginning gives a brief histoty of kama sutra and also preps an individual for partnered sex work. It was nice that it built up to the partnered activities.
The pictures and instructions were perfect for people like me who usually go "wait, what?". I like how there are so many positions that focus solely on interaction and passion. The more adventous positions were limited in this book, which I can appreciate. For someone who is just starting, those hard to do positions would be intimidating.
I LOVED IT!
There were so so many helpful tips and moves that will quickly become a regular feature in our lives. Please bring out a more advanced one as I would love to read more!
First I want to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this in exchange for my honest review.
Press Here was my first ever introduction to karma sutra and it really opened my eyes to how deep intimacy really is between partners. As someone in a relationship, it’s easy to forget the intimate needs and wants of the other person. Press Here introduced ways so that both partners feel not just a physical intimate connection, but also a spiritual and emotional one between each other. I’ve taken many things out of this and will be using them in my personal life and relationships.
This book is an excellent book for an introduction to the wonders of kama sutra. It is easy to read/understand and reiterates to the reader that intimacy is a very important part of a sexual relationship. I think it will bring couples great enjoyment and bring them closer together.
I enjoyed this beginner's book for Karma Sutra. The authors o a great job about remind the reading this isn't just about sex. It's about sensuality and intimacy within your relationship and sex life. So readers really need not skip these parts.. Foreplay is important and there are sections on how to turn something that is "preperformance" into an act all its own. The actual intercourse is explained simply and has colorful pictures that show what is going on. I love the variety of ethnicity in these photos. The only issue is that there is no info on how t make it work for non-hetero couples.
