Description
When opposites attract, sparks fly … Aspiring travel writer Olivia Jefferson has a penchant for tequila and an interesting dress code.
When she discovers her live-in boyfriend in a compromising situation, she realizes she will either have to face poverty or buckle down and get a proper job.
A call from a prestigious publishing house interested in her travel guides appears to be the golden opportunity she’s been waiting for, along with a proposition she wasn’t expecting. Suave & sophisticated businessman Daniel Lane has been living his life on autopilot.
When circumstances force him to take over the family publishing business, he finds himself living a life that lacks the adventure he so desperately craves. That is until Olivia walks into his life and turns it on its head.
He finds himself drawn to this rather unconventional girl, but can he have his cake and eat it too, or will he have to sacrifice his well-ordered lifestyle in order to live the life of his dreams?

Olivia is a quirky writer. Daniel is a buttoned-up, playboy business man. When their romance starts its weekends only. Is he two-timing her all along. This is a quick page-turner. Definitely recommend.
Weekend Arrangement is a quick, page turner, romance read. Olivia is a writer and is the opposite of the button-up, charming Daniel. Daniel takes a liking to Olivia's quirky-ness. They agree to meet on the weekends but will this weekend arrangement become more? The development in the characters in well written and is perfect for readers who are wanting a page turning , spicy, romance read.
Such a quick read. I enjoyed it a lot. I liked the wanderlust feel of it. I liked the characters, they got a long and had a lot of chemistry.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an eARC of Weekend Arrangement in exchange for my honest review. Olivia, a freelance writer who is struggling to make ends meet, is a fun and likable main character. At the beginning of the book, she is stuck in the status quo, living with a boyfriend who she should have broken up with upon college graduation. I really liked how Olivia finds her strength and voice as the plot unfolds. Daniel Lane, the CEO of the publisher who contracts to publish Olivia’s travel guides for single women, is a little stalkerish as he pursues Olivia, and that behavior detracted a little from my overall enjoyment of the book. Still, however, I enjoyed the book and will seek out other books by Sophie Penhaligon.
A playboy rich businessman meets his match when he is introduced to a quirky, fun loving woman. Their story is almost hidden by numerous romps in the sack.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
3.5 stars if I'm being ruthlessly honest.
I had read this author's previous book which involved an archaeologist and it was a great read so I was happy to give this book a go to.
Olivia is just stuck in a rut with her boyfriend and her job in the library. She aspires to be a writer, writing travel books for single women. She finally gets some interest in her premise and meets the CEO of the company, Daniel. Daniel is a playboy of the highest order, his family and friends have just about given up on him having a relationship with anyone.
Olivia was an interesting character but she does tend to just go from one relationship to the next, almost as though she can't just live without being in a relationship. She is also painted as somewhat of a party girl which I thought was kind of unfair. Daniel could make some readers uncomfortable as he can be possessive, dominating, and a tad stalkerish!
I thought the reasoning for Olivia's books was a superb one, I just thought she kind of lost her way a bit with her ambition when she got involved with Daniel. Lottie is Olivia's BFF and a true trust fund baby and is always ready with a killer outfit for Olivia to wear.
Daniel does ride the line between possessive and obsessive and I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable being in a relationship with him. However, the dialogue is snappy and the pace is good. There are a few quirky moments and she does take Daniels player mentality in her stride.
Triggers: Sexual Assault (not involving main characters)
I loved this story from the very beginning to the very end. Straight away I fell in love with the main character Olivia. I felt I went through all the emotions with Olivia in this story. It is very relatable which is what I love most about a book!
And then the Hot Mr.Lane, wow! I loved their relationship, which brought lots of romance to the book and a nice amount of hot filth too.
I would highly recommend this book, it has a little bit of everything, romance, shock and suspense. I hope this book does really well cause the author deserves it.

Thank You to NetGalley for an e copy of The Weekend Arrangement for Kindle.
An enjoyable read - a bit Mills & Boon with added sex, but well written. The storyline is fairly predictable, but sometimes that is all you want with a book.
This was an adorable story! I loved how protective Daniel was! It was also easily understandable how Olivia could misconstrue that to mean something else. Olivia was hilarious! I totally relate to her character. She was spontaneous, and loud. She has fun! She brings life to a room. I am glad these 2 found each other.
Thank you NetGalley for sending this arc for an honest review.
I WANT TO EAT EVREYONE INSIDE OUT IN THIS BOOK LIKE WTF.
To think I couldn’t hate a single charcater TO THINK contemporary is not for me.
Don’t even get me STARTED ON THE ROMANCE THE SPECTACULAR WAY THE MALE LOVE INTREST TALKS ABOUT THE FL IT WAS PERFECT I JUST WANT A MAN TOO LOOK AT ME THE WAY HE DOES HER ITS NOT FAIR.
The characters leap off the page in this book, they are likeable with good qualities about them. Sophie has a unique writing style of witt and humour with a great use of language. The story flows with ease and is throughly enjoyable. I’m looking forward to her next book.
The story of Olivia and Daniel.
After splitting with her boyfriend, Olivia knows she needs to make some money, and has a chance when a published wants to pick up her single-girl travel guides.
At her first meeting with the publishers, she meets Daniel, who is charge of the publishing house. As much as he knows he should keep away, he is drawn to Olivia, and soon they embark on their weekend arrangement. Someone is plotting to keep them apart so do they stand a chance at being together long term?
This book is kind of average. The romance was cute. The plot existed. The characters had personality. That is all I ask for in a book. Weekend Arrangement had all of this but that is about all I can say.
4.5 stars!
The Weekend Arrangement has a sexy, steamy storyline while seemingly keeping the book light and low-angst.
There is a quick fall to lust that seems to only build and grow throughout their weekends (and the few mid-week ‘meetings’). The book was easy to read and perfect for the beach.
Olivia Jefferson is like no other. She dresses the way she likes and doesn’t care what others think. After catching her boyfriend in a compromising situation she throws him out and worries about how she will live. Then she gets a call from a top publishing company who are interested in her travel guides. There she meets Daniel Lane who is drawn to Olivia for some unknown reason. What happens when they make a weekend arrangement? Will opposites attract or will things go badly wrong?
This book is a little different to what I usually read but one I thoroughly enjoyed. I also highly recommend it.
Thank you to the author and netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest opinions.
