Cowboy's Pregnant Partner is book three in Leslie North's Thorne Ranch Brothers series. While it is book three in the series in no way do you have to read the other books to understand what's going on in the series. I have read book two, which I very much recommend, but I haven't read the first one and I didn't feel like I was missing anything.
Rancher Jake Thorne is on a mission, he's wants to bring his ranch back to where it was when his father was running the ranch. To do that he needs a good stud horse, and the one he wants happens to belong to his local veterinarian and neighbor, Dr. Julia Letts. The problem? She isn't willing to sell her best horse Twister, she'll only stud him, but Jake wants exclusive rights to Twister so he can build a brand on him.
The more time Julia and Jake start spending together, unknown feelings start to surface between them and their fights over Twister turns to passion. Soon after the two start dating Julia finds out that she's pregnant, while it's a shock Julia can't help but be overjoyed because she didn't think she could ever have kids. But telling Jake is a challenge for her. Jake truly loves Julia but he can't help but see the benefits of dating will bring him in terms of Twister, but he doesn't tell Julia what he's thinking.
