This heartwarming story follows Matilda, a little girl who loses her voice after being teased and learns to find her confidence again. It's a simple but uplifting read about loving who you are, and I enjoyed seeing Matilda stand up for herself! Would definitely recommend this to all children.
"I wear confidence like a second skin"
This was so cute yet a powerful read. I'm glad we're talking about things like confidence with children at such a young age. It can leave a deep positive impact on children. The protagonist is adorable and relatable. It also subtly addresses bullying and dealing with bullies with self-confidence. Recommended.
I like the art and the story I highly recommend this book for young readers The page's where funky sizes and I think some of the words where lost probably a formatting error
I thought that this was a lovely positive little story.
In the book we meet Matilda, who is a little girl who loses her voice after being teased. We follow her as she learns to find her confidence again.
The book is a simple idea with some lovely illustrations – it is a positive and uplifting read about loving who you are and being the best you can – and standing up for yourself.
It is 4 stars from me for this one – highly recommended!
This is a children's picture book about Matilda, a little girl who has to deal with bullying at school, and her self-confidence is torn down because of it. At home, she bursts into tears in front of her mom, and explains the situation to her. I won't give away more than that so I don't spoil the story.
It's heart-warming to see Matilda gain confidence and feel more comfortable in her skin as the story goes on. It has an important and sweet message that will surely resonate with a lot of kids. It also has really beautiful, vibrant art that makes the story come to life.
