I still remember reading a book by the author last year as I was quite impressed with the artwork and the story writing.
So glad I get to read this story book based on the Bible.
The artstyle is different yet beautiful and pleasing.
It's cute and done well with the colour combinations.
The stories are quite simple and I feel they are excellently adapted for the reading age group.
Another good work by the author.
Thank you author/artist and the publisher for the advance reading copy.
I really enjoyed reading through this book and looking at the beautiful illustrations. This book takes 15 Biblical accounts and shares them in a way that is easy enough for a child to read and yet Biblically accurate.
I would definitely purchase this book for my kids and it would be a great baby shower gift or baby dedication gift, etc.
Thank you NetGalley for the chance to read this book before it is published. This book will be available for purchase on Feb 18, 2022.
This book is perfect for the children’s bed time stories and at the same time they will learn about god. Its interesting with pictures and short that would keep children intrigued throughout the story.
Share a Story Bible is an ideal book to introduce toddlers and young children to the Bible, The stories, all appealingly illustrated, are from both the Old and New Testaments. They are, of course, simplified to language children can understand. For instance, from the Lord’s Prayer, “Give us today the food we need, to make us strong inside”. Another unique feature is a one sentence, easily understood summary of each story after the title. And I love the interactive pictures in the first pages. Children are encouraged to search for the illustrations shown in a guide in the stories that follow. Share a Story Bible is perfect for Sunday school classes, children’s bookshelves and would make a thoughtful gift. 5 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley, Lion Hudson Ltd, Deborah Lock, Jennifer Davison and illustrator Jennifer Davison for this ARC.
The Share a Story Bible is a beautifully illustrated simplified Bible for children that expresses some of the most traditional well loved stories and psalms in language that is appropriate and understandable for little people.
Each chapter or story has a small description at the start to summarise what it is about. This will make it easier for younger readers to follow and for parents or Children's Church leaders to give the gist of the message for the youngest persons, and an expanded version for older children.
I especially like how the authors have shared the Lord is my Shepherd Psalm and made it accessible for younger readers, and by naming it David's Song it will help youngsters understand its message more fully.
This is a marvellous text and one of the best easy read Bibles for parents/leader/guardians and children to share
I really enjoyed reading this book. It's a lovely simplification of the Bible for babies and toddlers and a great way to introduce them to some of the most important Bible stories.
I particularly like how each story is prefaced with a brief description of what is to come.
I look forward to reading this out loud to my twins at bedtime as soon as they're old enough.
I absolutely adored this little book. I think it is perfect for little kids. The illustrations are beautiful and the stories are simple enough for kids to understand.
