Description
Do pigs get stinky sweaty?
No! But they sure get muddy.
In this light-hearted book, learn how different bodies cool down in different ways: sweat, water or mud! Watch as pigs gloriously emerge with their mud jackets, making them the coolest animal on the block. Enjoy hearing your child shout out the answers to silly questions like "Can people roll in mud too?" This call and response format is a time-tested method for keeping kids engaged and interacting, instead of just chewing on the pages.
Pigs Never Sweat is part of the Awesome Animals series.
Awesome Animals Series
Awesome Animals is a children’s non-fiction series. It explores the animal kingdom to gently introduce our little ones to body diversity. Each book features an animal which is missing something that we're taught to expect should be there. But these animals don’t just thrive despite that absence, they thrive because of it.
The Awesome Animals series uses a dyslexia-friendly type-face.
With dyslexia, we often focus on the challenges - difficulty reading. But thanks to the way the dyslexic brain is built, people with dyslexia are often creative, intuitive and highly successful. In other words, those people aren't thriving despite their dyslexic brain, they are thriving because of it.

This is the second book of the Awesome Animals series that I have read. These books always discuss questions that may sound silly at first but actually they are quite obvious. We all are different and it's great to recognise this, it's OK to talk about it and ask questions to find out "Why". This book is an excellent (and funny) tool to include your kid in a chat about the joys of being different - whether human or animal.
Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this ARC.
This is a really cute funny book with great pictures that does a great job of explaining why pigs don't sweat and how they keep cool.
Love the artstyle and the titbits about sweating when it comes to different animals.
I love the illustrations and how the writing is just apt for the reading age group.
It's just perfect.
Thank you, author/artist and the publisher, for the advance reading copy.
This book is adorable and I can't wait to read it with my grandson. The illustrations are delightful and the story is informative as well as entertaining. A fun take on educational information!
Cute! I have a two-year-old who would probably really enjoy this; animal facts AND discussions about gross things? We're in. I, personally, am a typically very sweaty person (thanks, SSRIs) so I might regret bringing this into my home and giving my toddler license to tease me...but maybe I can convince him I'm cooler than a pig in a mud jacket because I CAN sweat. Maybe? Hopefully?
My sweet little nephew is really getting into animals at the moments and this is a really cute book to help him be engaged and learn all about the process of animals. It kept him entertained and asking questions and was beyond adorable!
Pigs Never Sweat by Kelly Tills is a nonfiction book about how pigs cool themselves down. It is adorable. My five year old would love this book. There are really engaging questions that kids would love during a live reading. This book would be very popular in the preschool setting. The images are simple, but very cute. Reading this book would be a fun way to inform kids about a cute topic.
I was invited to read an ARC of Pigs Never Sweat, through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #PigsNeverSweat #NetGalley
What a wonderful gem of a book! Simple explanation of why pigs don't sweat and why they get muddy! Part of the Awesome Animals series, this book is another simple but true fact based story with pictures that will capture the heart of a child!
Did I request this book because of the cover? Absolutely. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.
This is the first book I've read in the Awesome Animals series and I thought it was adorable. My son is 10 and while this book is clearly intended for kids much younger, he thought some of the facts in it we're interesting.
I wish I had found this series when my kiddo was younger because I think we both would have enjoyed them!
A funny and informative book of facts for children to learn quirky things about animals!
Thank you to netgalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Did I request this book because of the pig in a jacket and sunglasses?
Yes I did, don’t judge me.
This was a very short book meant to teach kids not only about sweat but also about the importance of embracing our differences, and the differences on others.
The images were also super cute, I’m sure this book is going to make kids have a lot of fun.
Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this ARC.
Pigs Never Sweat is the second book I have read in the Awesome Animals series and both myself and my 4 year old son have loved them equally as much as each other.
Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for my ARC.
It always annoys me when people say they are "sweating like a pig" because like this book I know they don't sweat! This was a very cute and simple book and I loved it. My son would be dying laughing if someone read this to him.
This is the second book I’ve read in the Awesome Animals series and it’s just as enjoyable as the first one.
This is a very fun book to teach children about our differences. I loved the illustrations in this one - how cute is the pig on the cover? The main emphasis on this book is that even though pigs don’t sweat like humans do, that’s perfectly fine. This book teaches children about celebrating differences and is a great tool for future development.
Overall this book is cute, simple and effective. It would be a great addition to any child’s library.
Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the advanced copy.
This was cute, especially for toddler. Very straight forward and to the point. Art work was good too.

This is an adorable book about pigs and why they don't sweat. My six year old daughter laughed at the silly pictures while at the same time learning about pigs and how they stay cool. The book was not difficult for her to read on her own and she enjoyed it very much.
Thank you Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read this book.
This book was funny and heartwarming. The facts and information presented were kid friendly and informative.
A fun little title with cartoon illustrations explaining the how and why of pigs not sweating. A great little read for a young animal lover
