A very cute tale about a dog who uses his nose to find his missing blanket. Kids can follow along by guessing what the various scents might be as the dog searches. The illustrations are bright and fun and the dog is adorable! Pre-K and early elementary kids would definitely find this an enjoyable read.

A note to US readers--this appears to be written in UK/Commonwealth English. The differences are very minor, but there are some words and phrasing that may need to be clarified for young readers.

A clever and funny tale of a dog sniffing out his lost blanket. I actually laughed out loud because it is so true to life. I think it's simple and fun and kids and parents alike will enjoy it.

Read this book with my 10 year old daughter before bed. It was absolutely adorable and we both loved it.

The art work is eye catching, colorful, and just plain fun. Especially the way the smells travel along.

The story was fun to read aloud and follow along with. Detailed enough to keep a 10 year old entertained but not so advanced that a younger audience wouldn't enjoy it.

The ending was unexpected and beyond cute. Really just super funny and I could see it getting a bunch of giggles from smaller children.

Recommended enough that I plan on purchasing a print copy for our shelf of childrens books we collect.

Scruffy has lost his blanket and decides to go look for it using his sense of smell because of course his blanket will smell just like him!

Adorable and cute beyond words! Made me wish I had a dog like Scruffy. And how he was drawn? Have I already said adorable and cute?!

Nice and very charming, even more for the dog lovers out there. I just find it very pretty and cute. My son also like it very much!

This book is about a dog in search of his beloved blanket. I read this book to my toddler and he loved it. He was laughing hysterically at this dog who was sniffing so many different things. The pictures were wonderful and helped convey the story to a younger reader. The rhyming was great as well. This was a fun read and we will definitely be getting our copy!

It's no secret that a picture book about a dog is one of my favorite genres...is that even a genre? Well whatever it is, those are my favorite titles. Lynne Hudson tells the story of a pooch on a journey, sniffing some of his favorite things until he finds his ABSOLUTE favorite thing. Incredible illustrations, simple story, cute, and funny...this one has it all. Perfect for little ones to read on their own or for parents to act out at story time.

Kids and parents alike can related to the hunt for a child's beloved blanket. Because how many times has a kid lost a blanket or stuffed animal?
you own become a part of you and that’s how Scruffy feels about his blanket. So when it goes missing, he sets out on a very smelly journey to sniff it out!

Scruffy is such a wonderful dog. He teaches a lesson to every child and he is in the search of his blanket. I liked the rhyming text and the colorful and funny illustrations. I guess the book might represent an interest for every energetic child.

Stories told my dogs are usually winners. This one is a little bit interactive (or could be, if you read it right.) The art is cute. The dog is easy to love. And kids will understand his drive to find and fix his blanket.

This was so sweet! A lot of fun, I would definitely share this with my niece and buy her a copy in the future.

I have to say I absolutely loved this book! The illustrations are eye catching and so colorful. This will grab a child’s attention as it is being read to them.
Scruffy can’t find his blanket and goes on an adventure to find it.
I will be buying copies of this for my friends with children. And I love buying books for my friends who are teachers for their classroom.

A dog's favorite blanket goes missing and he let's his nose sniff out its whereabouts. Delightful illustrations of a dog with a large sniffer. Kids will giggle their way through the book as the dog finds a bunch of different smells, but none of the right ones. The rhyming text is forced in a few pages, but doesn't impact the story. My favorite page comes at the end and left me giggling inward at my own furry friends hijinks while looking for the right smell. Not a must have for the library, but if you have the budget, it would definitely be well-loved.

The illustrations are lovely and along with the simple text capture the personality of many dogs I know. An easy read that would make little kids laugh.

This is a delightful book and Scruffy is an over-the-top adorable puppy! His personal blanket is a must-have as he loves to roll around on it and enjoy the smell of .... himself all over it! Scruffy's world is a happy place when he has his security blanket!

One day he can't find his precious blanket and he takes it upon himself to seek it out and retrieve it. After all it belongs to him right? His sense of smell kicks into high gear and Scruffy is off to engage in a search and rescue mission. He encounters smelly socks and tasty biscuits along the way but he remains focused on his goal. Finally he discovers his blanket and also discovers that it no longer smells like him? I wonder what made that change?

The illustrations are fantastic. They are kid-friendly, big, bold and colourful. Everyone will fall in love with Scruffy and want to adopt and bring him home. The rhyming text and playful language will have kids coming back again and again to enjoy this delightful story. I highly recommend it!

Sniff was an adorable and delightful read and even as an adult relatable when you lose your favourite sweater or comfort piece of clothing! I read it to my 3 month old daughter, and while she didn’t get the message of the book, we enjoyed the story and the illustrations. Would definitely recommend for any children ❤️

What drew me into this book was the adorable cover illustrations, which continued throughout. The story was so cute and one I know that many toddlers/preK students will love! The author used rhyming to tell the story of this dog looking for his blanket and it was the perfect choice.

Dog lovers of any age will love this one! The story is simple enough for even the youngest kids and the illustrations are fun and vibrant. I hope the artist releases some companion prints as I would love to look at the art every day when I need a smile.
