As an accountant, I always find it interesting to read books that are geared toward non-accountants. I highly recommend this book to non-accountants in the business world. It will save you time and keep your accountants happy that you can explain what you are wanting or needing from them. It is very easy to find what you are looking for, without having to read every page of the book. You can just go to the specific topic and learn what you need to know. This is a definite must-have book in all upper-management's offices,
Well-structured and clear; a good "introductory text". I would have liked a few more examples, but I feel like this isn't intended as "the only book you'll ever need". It does what intends to do well: Gives you a good grounding in the fundamentals/a foundation for future study or research (if desired).
A useful introduction to the basics of financial management, a good starting point for those with little to no experience of this world.
I really liked the financial information presented in this book. This information would be very helpful in making decisions about business projects such as six sigma, hiring, and investments to name a few. Managers and even members of the technical staff will find this book useful to explain the elements and how to create goals to govern any project.
The only problem that I saw was the presentation of the material. It could have flowed better if the formatting was done better. The raw material is very good and I would recommend this book as a desk reference.
