Rachel and her husband Gabriel are living the dream in an old stone farmhouse in south west France. Surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields, life is bucolic bliss, or would be if it weren't for threats from Rachel's vindictive brother, Truck, whom she hasn’t seen since their father’s funeral when Truck warned her he might kill her.

Rachel, Truck, and their two sisters have recently finished sorting out their inheritance from their late parents. Grudges, jealousy and suspicion all raise their gargoyle heads, and when Truck discovers Rachel’s address and threatens to visit her 'grand-arse house and all it contains,’ she’s convinced she might end up dead.
