The Prisoner

B A Paris is one of my favorite authors so I was thrilled when I received an ARC of The Prisoner. I just finished reading it and my heart is still racing! What I love most about this book is the complex characters and how you think you know what’s happening, but then there’s another major twist. This book deserves to be on all the best sellers list! I’ve read over 100 thrillers & mysteries in the past year, and this one is my favorite!

ok.. this book will literally have you up the entire night reading. B.A. Paris is the queen of thrillers. The first half of the book will leave you squealing in fear as she makes you feel like you are in a dark dingy basement being held captive. Usually when I read the first half of a book and have NO clue what the heck is going on, I do not finish it. But this one...I was enthralled, intrigued, dumbfounded. I couldn't believe how expertly Paris unraveled the plot and smacked me in the face with all the pieces of the puzzle that came together. FABULOUS!!

This book pulls you in from page 1 & written so well, I felt like I was there. Read this in a day & simply could not put it down. B.A. Paris never disappoints!

B.A. Paris never disappoints! This book will leave you on the edge of your seat with each turn of the page! It goes back and forth with Amelie's life in the past, before she was abducted, and in the present while she's being held captive, but doesn't know why or by whom. Such a great suspenseful read, that has a plot twist that will make your jaw drop!
A must read!

Amelie has nothing when her father dies until three wonderful women befriend her, take her in, and give her a start. That is until she meets their wealthy boss Ned who proposes Amelie marry him for one month to get his father of his back, and he will pay for her college education. But nothing is at it seems. A page turner of a suspense novel that will suck you in so sit down read, and enjoy the ride.

Oh wow. This was a mind bending book.
I love this authors way with words. I could not put this book down. It was amazing! Gah. I need to wrap my head around this.

The Prisoner is extremely fast-paced and unputdownable and I loved every page! The story alternates between Amelie’s present day nightmare as The Prisoner and her near past recalling the details of how she came to be in her current situation. I stayed up much too late reading this and now it’s my favorite of all B.A. Paris books. Highly recommend!

BA Paris does it again. This book is an absolute winner. I couldn’t wait to delve into this book and immediately read it constantly. The best thriller of the year.

I was absolutely over the moon to have been approved through netgalley and St. Martin's press for this ARC!! I absolutely love B.A Paris and this did not disappoint!!! The Prisoner was a fast paced going from few weeks prior to current. Trying to figure the details of Amelia's story and how she got in the situation she found herself in. I loved this story!!

Another fantastic story by B.A. Paris!

This story was super unique and had me totally invested. I had no idea I was going to be so intrested in an abduction story but the detials in this had me hooked from the first chapter. I loved how the story unraveled through the two timelines. I was surprised at several different times during this story.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this one early! I can't wait to recommend it to my friends.
