Until the End

Action packed and interesting. You definitely need to read the first book to have a good grip on the characters, terms and context. Without that a new reader will be lost - so go back and read the first then come back for this. Glad for this second installment! Great for young adult genre fans.

I am always surprised that this series isn't more popular. The books are fun and funny, but there are so many twists and turns that you never get to relax into the story. There's lots of action, and magic, and adventure. I can't say that I expected the ending, because I'd given up trying to guess what would happen a long time ago. It's definitely worth the time, if you haven't read any of the books, to sit down and read them from the beginning before you read this one.

I first picked up Skulduggery Pleasant 1 about 10 years ago based off the description and figured why the hell not give it a shot? I was thrown face first into this astounding world with mind-blowing events, bada** characters, amusing & hilarious conversations. Derek Landy once again amazes me with his writing. I love how he write the characters, there's great world building, suspense and monologue... Although, there's less comedic value and more serious conversation and situations.

They really should have a bigger following than Harry Potter. We'll written and creative, fun and suspenseful and each story grows on the previous. I have found I prefer to listen to them over reading them, as the accents and intensity are better.
